"Focus, my Lord!"
Blade grit his teeth as he got hit straight to his shoulder from a wild group of goblins. The other knights were already coming for a back-up.
"Damn it" Blade smirked as he moved swiftly the sword close to his fingertips channeling his mana, to the charge along with his unit and finish the enemies.
"Damn, those bastards truly didn't want to leave the village alone" Sahon, the knight, spoke annoyed as he was trying to stay still while Famir was covering his chest with bandages.
The Unit was back to the camp near a village at the borders with the Elves territories. Everyone could see Blade's eyes totally unbothered about whatever they were slaining or protecting. It felt like he was focus and not focus at the same time.
"It appears the vampire guilds are truly becoming impatient about any new from the inner territories" Blade crossed his arms under the knights curious stare "I fear they might send vampires to the Emperor's Palace once again just like Fenir..."
"Indeed, my glorious Lord!"
The knights and the soldiers flinched and got ready their weapons when they saw Fenir and some vampires appearing from the shadows, walking elegantly on the forest trees.
"You..." Blade rolled his eyes "Down with your weapons, they're with us"
"Are we though?" Fenir's red eyes locked on Blade, who narrowed his stare "Ooff, it seems this... distance between lovers is making you totally not into teasing, duke" the vampire got down the tree and looked at the people around them "I actually got sent with some friends back to the inner territories" he winked "I will make sure to greet the Crown Prince for you with a kiss"
Blade grit his teeth and in a swift movement he threw the sword straight at the vampire, who moved a little just to avoid to get his neck pierced "As I thought."
"Do not dare." Blade's tone was really deep and definitely a threat to Fenir in that instant
"Oh, but you wouldn't dare as well" Fenir smirked "Us vampires... We go in and out the inner territories" he winked "Have you got any news from Luocha?" he asked, sitting next to one of the wounded knights, winking also at him
Blade shook his head "One week... Apparently nothing much is happening, knowing Dan Heng... He's probably doing his best not to make my unit worry"
Fenir smirked sang playfully a little tune, making Blade suspicious "Oh... So you don't know?"
"Don't know what?!" Blade asked and Fenir laughed
"There's something... interesting... Words fly fast in the inner territories... You wouldn't guess!" Fenir stand up and sang once again as a tease, knowing he couldn't be killed as he knew golden information for the duke "An incoronation will happen soon"
Blade opened up his eyes "Incoronation?!"

Dan Heng was walking out of his chamber and smiled at his maids who helped him prepare for the day in the palace.
He knew he couldn't get out, but the palace was big enough and definitely had many places to be and use his time.
Dan Heng was using the time in a very... slow tempo. He was giving his father little crumbles, information about the North Family... Truths that wouldn't hurt anyone to know...
He didn't like exposing the real secrets, so he was always going for the little information about the territories amministration and the actual creatures in their favors, making the Emperor tremble at the thought of many creatures at the borders kept away just by the North Family.
