"I can't believe..." Evias and the elves were sighing hard, hidden "This is terrible... To believe the man who made our Lord go on his knees... is acting like he's waiting for death."

Dan Heng was just closed in his chambers. Sometimes the Emperor and Haru would enter, asking him about information... squeeze him of anything he knew about the North Territory and leave him alone.

Dan Heng's empty eyes... They weren't looking for anything.

It felt like Jing Yuan's death, made him fall once again in his security he couldn't escape from destiny.

Dan Heng was strong but also, sadly, emotive... He thought he was sure of his decision but seeing one of his real family member left to bleed to death because of him...

He felt like he couldn't even keep the promise he made as Dan Heng, let alone as Crown Prince or Emperor.

It was true.

It was true...

I am not fit to be Emperor.

...I am not fit to be Emperor...

"The Crown Prince has decided to die for his brother it seems"

Evias rolled his eyes as he noticed Fenir get his hood off next to the other elves "Seriously, are you already back? Have you sent the new to my Lord?" he asked and Fenir winked playfully

"Of course, I've told about Luocha's mission, the General's departure and the Crown Prince's decision. Not going to lie, I was pleased when the duke cut his own wrist and summoned so many bloodbirds with just a glance..." he laughed and Evias did tremble a little, imagining his Lord's reaction.

"This wasn't supposed to go like this..." Evias looked sad at the sight of Dan Heng just walking in his chamber like he was waiting to die... He wasn't looking even for help, not even a glance towards them. Nothing.

Dan Heng was already gone in his mind.

The elves felt awful at the thought.

"I mean, let's look at the bright side, now the North Duke has no reason to step back from... put it all to flames... Dan Heng will soon die and the duke has no possibility to actually gather forces and reach the capital before the incoronation" Fenir smirked "Shall we start the dance?" he winked and Evias pushed his face away from him

"Don't... say that..." he sighed heavily "We will save Dan Heng... I am sure our Lord will... give us the order... right?" he looked up the sky "I hope Luocha is fine... that idiot..."

"Make sure to keep the hood on, the wind is getting stronger... Ugh..."

Luocha rolled his eyes as he was standing on a wagon, as he was pushing the horse to ride even faster through the streets.

"Seriously? Worried about my health when you're almost dead? Will you shut up? I told you it's better you don't even move your mouth if you don't want to open your wounds again, fucking idiot... Humans... Agh... So fucking annoying." the elf muttered annoyed as he left a glance behind him.

Jing Yuan was reserving a soft smile, making him even more annoyed. The General was covered in a brown robe. He had bandages enhanced with Luocha's healing spells. He was under control, but he needed to be out of the inner territories as everyone knew he was officially dead, executed by the Emperor.

For this reason, Luocha took him with him and moved with the help of a little group of rangers of the unit, back to the North Territory.

"Dan Heng needs to know I am alive."
