Blade, Ying and Layla were bowing in front of the Royal Guard's General, who smiled as he walked next to Dan Heng, guiding him towards the carriage.
Dan Heng closed his eyes once he sat in the carriage, feeling his heart ripped, actually letting go the suffocating feeling he was already growing at the thought of going back to the capital.
"Your Highness" Jing Yuan leant by the door of the carriage, reserving a gentle smile "You're doing the right thing." he reassured and Dan Heng nodded a little "Make sure to keep yourself this determinate, I am sure your lover is waiting for even a blink to jump on us and declare war"
Dan Heng blushed embarassed and coughed, trying to keep his composure "Non-sense..." he crossed his arms and closed his eyes, trying not to let out his flustered face under Jing Yuan's amused stare.
Dan Heng smiled towards the family who showed him so much... warmth and beauty of life he never really saw for such a long time... He then looked at the General with a lovely smile, full of security.
"Declare war...?" Dan Heng repeated, giggling a little "The Xing's Family would never dare to."
"Seriously, why not, father?"
"Yeah, why not, dear?"
"Please, you two." Ying was trying to keep his weird smile as he was waving towards the Crown Prince along with Layla and Blade, who were just asking the reason why not declaring war already.
Layla sighed heavily "My baby" she had tears in her eyes and Ying closed his eyes trying not to fall on his knees and cry like a puppy as his heart was literally beating just for his beloved wife.
"He's my lover." Blade grit his teeth and Layla crossed his arms to then lock her stare on his "... Fine, call him baby, whatever." he rolled his eyes to then sigh heavily as he noticed Dan Heng giggling in the carriage with the General.
Blade left a glance towards a side where he knew Luocha, Evias and the ranger unit were getting ready to follow every single movement of the convoy.
He thought to actually follow, but that would have made Dan Heng mad, he knew it, and he also was needed in the North Territory.
"Blade... do you want to follow them till they reach the gate?" Ying asked as Blade's eyes couldn't help but look at the convoy, searching for even another glance from Dan Heng, who was just smiling and waving at the knights crying like little girls.
"No... It's better this way." Blade said as he turned and entered in the manor followed by Irene and some maids.
Layla and Ying looked at each others to then sigh and enter in the manor feeling already a weird feeling. It felt like the presence of Dan Heng in the manor was something... warm.
"Ah..." Layla sighed worried as she held Ying's hand "I hope he will be okay..."
Ying kissed her hand to then pull her close and leave a kiss on her forehead "He's not alone, I gave the order if they try to touch him, the rangers will push themselves to death to protect him."
Blade meanwhile was in his studio and tried to figure what to do during Dan Heng's absence. He couldn't touch anything in the inner territories as it wasn't his duty.
The only thing he could do was to build even more good reputation with the creatures territories. He surely had already a good contact with vampires and elves. He just needed to keep good diplomacy with also the others.
He was either preparing for a big rebellion.
Or simply the best ground for Dan Heng to get on the Throne as future Emperor.
