"Now now... this is pleasant"
The Emperor opened up his eyes and found himself still bleeding on the ground.
For some reasons his heart got back to beat.
He was forced to turn his head and he couldn't shout at the sight of those eyes.
"I must say... Dan Heng has... surprised me... He actually... did please me so much this time" he pointed the finger where the wound was "Very good... How does it feel... dying by your son's hand?"
The Emperor smiled in pain "If he gets on the throne... My bloodline will... keep... dominating but you... said my Empire will burn... so this means he will die anyway.""
"Do you want to know who's the monster I talked about in the stone stale...?" he asked and the Emperor opened up his eyes.
Wasn't.... Dan Heng?
"When your firstborn came into this world..." The God of War walked around his body "A monster you've created... You did all this... My dear Emperor..." he smirked slapping playfully the Emperor's cheek "So... so amusing" he laughed to then lean closer and whisper...
"The North Duke.... The North Duke has always been my pawn to end your Empire."
The Emperor opened up his eyes and the God of War laughed at the sight of his expression "Oh... Your fear of losing power... made you forget about the fact the God of War was mad at you... Did you really think I wanted you to sacrifice the child of mine? No... Oh no... You dared to take my follower as bride and even conceive..." he sighed heavily, but he clearly was amused "You were planning for years to find a way to kill my followers... to the point I asked... why" he laughed "Can you believe? You made me question your foolish actions... Humans... you truly... are so... stupid."
"T-the North..."
"Indeed... In all the timelines you and your son were trying to kill them... I just kept watching the same comedy for different reasons... It was... fun" he spoke as the Emperor felt blue flames eating his clothes "Because the furious spirit Blade had when he saw his family die... oh... That definitely was the moment the monster of the prophecy was born... So fierce... So full of hate and desire to see your Empire falling... He managed to breech the curse of mine..." he crouched down as the Emperor was shouting, feeling his own skin burn under the God of War flaming eyes "Your own actions lead to Blade to become the monster... It was never Dan Heng..."
"...And do you want to know something even funnier? Your son would have managed to save you from Blade's fury... He would have managed to bring peace if you just let him own what was right for him to own since the start... But you just..." he laughed to then smirk "You just did all this by yourself... Hilarious... so so hilarious... The more you were trying to escape from your destiny, the more you were stepping on the path I had already created for you to follow...and I am... truly... truly pleased."

"FORWARD!" Blade shouted at his guards as they managed to infiltrate in the main palace.
"We still need to find Dan Heng!" Jing Yuan spoke next to him as they were running through the corridors to then flinch when they heard shouts "The... Emperor?!"
The knights, Blade and Jing Yuan ran faster and they slowed down when they noticed blood stains everywhere in that corridor to then stop at the sight of the half burnt body of the Emperor.
"What the.... what is happening?! Where is..." Blade grit his teeth under the knights surprised stare "WHERE IS DAN HENG?!"
"FOR REAL? THERE'S A CRISPY EMPEROR IN FRONT OF YOU, MY LORD, AND YOU'RE STILL THINKING ABOUT HIS HIGHNESS?" Famir shouted in panic at the sight of the Emperor while Blade was totally ignoring that little detail "Oooh fuck fuck FUCK!"
