"Fiance?"

There's a known emotions in her eyes just one glance. Belittling, insult, disgust, and annoy.

He didn't mind her mother's words and instead, he turn to the other people who are here. His aunties, uncles and his cousins. XL introduced their name one by one awhile ago but I can't remember each.

"Everyone, this is my Pearla Dmasalang. My soon to be wife."

He even held my left hand to raised it and shown the ring he has given to me infront of his all family. I only knew a few people here that includes Tonton's mother, who just smile at me a little then avoid my eyes later.

She looks like she's out of place and uncomfortable and so do I. Parang sa mga sandaling ito, kami lang ang nagkakaintindihan. Tonton was not also here.

Meeting your in laws is very a stressful and nervous.

Nevertheless, I shouldn't judge of them that easily just because that's what they look like.

She can't hide the obvious emotions in her chinky eyes or perhapsly, she intended to let me see as such.

XL is a half korean and half pinoy. He also admitted to me, he's not close to his mother because he's a daddy's son.

Even though, they have already an idea, they still can't hide the small gasp that their mouth create. Well, except for his brother and his father who are just shooking their head and there's a small grin plastered in their lips. They look amuse.

"I thought you and Isabelle are together, son?" Dagdag pang tanong ng ina niya saka sinulyapan ako ng nang-iinsultong tingin.

He held my hand and intertwine it with his. Trying to comfort me by his touch but it couldn't help, though. I always get carried away from my emotions.

Just like what happened last Sunday.

I can still remembered the feeling of being beaten up when in fact, it was just a 1 person who beat my whole body.

I don't know what much hurts, the thought they didn't me as XL fiance or with the thought they mentioned another girl's name infront of me. Which supposed as their preferred her over me.

"Stop it, Mom. There's nothing between us and if you didn't stop by now, we'll leave." Nagbago ang ekspresiyon ng ina ni XL. Galing sa nanguuyam, biglang nataranta.

"Of course, I will. I'm just asking if you and Isabelle are a thing." I'm just bowing my head and can't look at them in the eyes.

I guess, coming here is pointless.

"Now you know, Mom." May diin at umiigting pangang saad ni XL saka bumaling sa akin at hinila ako patayo.

"Let's go. We're done here." Saad niya ng walang pag-alinglangan at inakay ako palabas ng dining area nila.
