Kelly's POV
It was around about 2:30 in the morning and we have just left the freeway back into Chicago, Stella had fell asleep about 1 hour ago, after trying so hard to stay awake to keep me company, but failed at the last hurdle.
I decided to head to my house, given I had forgot to ask Stella for her address, I'm sure she wouldn't mind staying the night besides I have a big enough bed, my dad is probably at work and my mom always welcomes anyone with welcome arms.
I had text my mom earlier to tell her I would be coming back today and with an estimated time so when we arrived back in Chicago at the first lights I stopped at, I text her to tell her I was about 10 minutes away just incase she was still awake.
When I pulled up at my house the living room lamp was still on and the tv was also on meaning my mom was still up, I grab my phone and see I had a text off her saying okay and that she was still up waiting for me.
I see the curtains twitch as I turn my engine of seeing my mom look out the window to see it was me that had pulled up, I seen her smile before she moved away no doubt to come greet me.
I looked over at Stella still sleeping as I run her arm "Stella?" I whisper as she murmurs and turns her head to the side as her eyes open slowly.
"We're back...we're at my house, just until the morning and I will take you home" I tell her as she looks around a little confused as she stretches.
"Are your parents okay with that?" She asks me "my dad's at work and my mom won't mind" I tell her just as I see the porch light come on and the front door open. "Come on, I'll grab your case" I tell her as I climb out and open the back door to grab the two cases as my mom runs over to me and hugs me tightly "oh my boy...I've missed you so much, did you have fun?" She asks me as I hug her back "hi mom, I've missed you too...and yes a lot of fun, so much so I didn't want to come home" I tell her as she stands back and nudges my arm "yeah right, you'd miss your mother too much" she says as she looks at the cases.
"Two cases? I thought you only left with one" she asks me as I see Stella walk behind her waiting for us "I did, this one belongs to Stella" I say pointing behind my mom to Stella "mom this is my girlfriend, Stella" I say as my mom turns around to Stella as she squeals "oh finally...it's about time you introduced me to a girl, is she the one you were sneaking out of your room to go meet up with, before you left" she says as Stella looks at me and I rub the back of my neck "no, that was just some friends I was meeting, and how did you know about that..." I ask her as she taps her nose "I'm your mother it's my job to know these things, your not as discreet as you think you are Kelly" she says turning back to Stella
"Anyway yeah this is Stella, I met Stella at the camp" I say smiling at Stella as she holds her hand out to my mom as she ignores it and just hugs her. "Well nice to meet you Stella, I bet your both exhausted, let's get you inside" she says wrapping her arm around Stella's shoulder as they both head inside leaving me with the cases as I chuckle.
Once inside my mom heads towards the kitchen "you two go on up, I'll bring you both up a nice hot chocolate" my mom says as she walks down the hall, I pick the cases back up as I nudge my head towards the stairs "up the stairs and to the right, it's the door at the bottom" I tell Stella as she heads up the stairs and I follow behind.
"This one" she asks pointing to the end door "yes, the light should be on the wall to the right and please excuse the mess, I never tidied up when I was packing to leave for camp" I tell her as she opens the door and walks in.
She switches the light on as she looks around "You call this a mess...you should see mine" I hear her say as I walk in and see my mom must have tidied it up a little whilst I was gone.
