1 week later
Kelly's POV
This past week has been none stop, the summer holidays have now kicked in fully, and we have had more and more kids sign up to the camp each day, so much so the days have been made longer, so we now finish at 6pm splitting the days into to sessions the first lot come in from 10:30-1 then we have our lunch break until 2, before the second groups in the afternoon to start at 2:30.
Although the days are longer and Stella picked to work in the arts and craft workshops we still seen a lot of each other, as we would meet up to have lunch together and then hung out in the evenings.
Today was Stella's birthday and also Thursday which meant the camp was closed for weekly maintenance, so everyone had the whole day to ourselves, I wanted to go out to go get Stella something special, I just didn't know what, even though over the 10 days Ive known her now, I've come to learn a lot of things about her, like what she loves, her hobbies, her pet peeves, it's like I've known her a lot longer.
It was some time after 7 in the morning, the camp was quiet, everyone was probably still sleeping, having a lie in. I on the other hand wanted to make a start early on going to find a present for Stella.
I walked down to where my car was parked and climb into it, I had a quick google search and located a large shopping mall in the next town over, just over 45 minutes away, I'm sure there's bound to be something there I can get for her.
On the drive over to the mall I kept coming up with things to buy her, necklace? Hair care products? Flowers? Candles? But I couldn't decide what she would prefer so came up with an idea of making her a hamper with multiple items inside.
The first place I stopped was Pandora to get her main present, a charm bracelet with 2 charms the letter S and the number 16 with her birthstone attached which was a red ruby. I hope she loves it.
Next I go to bath and body works to get the tropidelic collection of moisturisers and body creams remembering she liked the tropical scents from when we showered together, I continue looking round and getting to the perfumes and body mists I spray a few samples to see if I like the smell of any chocking on a few before I find one called 'in the stars' which left a shimmer on your skin when you sprayed it, I thought that was cool and plus she really likes stars so she might find it just as cool, bonus points was that it smelt amazing also, so added that to my basket.
Thats all I got from there so went to pay and placed them in a bag.
I continued walking around stopping at one of the stalls that made personalised candles with names on the holder I placed an order to have a tropical scented one made with Stella's name engraved on the front, even paid extra to add a silver star with a message engraved in the centre of the wax, it took me a while to think of one but then came up with what I thought was a perfect one "stars burn out just like this candle but I'll stop loving you when this star burns out" even the woman at the stall thought it was adorable
I was worried about choosing the loving part as we haven't actually said we love each other yet, it's far too early to say it right? Besides it may take weeks for the star and message to reveal itself when the wax has all melted so that gives us plenty of time to say the 3 words.
After waiting for 20 minutes the candle was done and placed in a gift box, I thanked the woman then headed back to my car to put all the gifts in, so I didn't have to carry them around whilst I went and bought a basket and cellophane to make my hamper.
I bought them at a party store, picking up a birthday card and helium balloon too before I headed back to my car and made my way back to the camp.
Back at the camp I had took everything I got for Stella to my cabin seating them all on the table in the living room as I got myself a pen to write out her card.
