Winter Camp (23)

Stella's POV

"stella....stella...come on wake up" I hear beside me, the voice becoming clearer as I open my eyes seeing the blurred outline of Kelly as I blink my eyes a couple of times, adjusting to the light and his frame becoming clearer "morning sunshine" he says with a smile brighter than the morning sun. "Good morning, what time is it?" I ask him as he checks his watch "8:30, I let you sleep in as I know you was up most of the night again, shay is already here, shes riding with us to Ohio instead of getting the coach, cases are already in the car and I've got you some breakfast made in the kitchen" he says stroking my hair.

it was the following Monday and today was the day we were all heading back to Ohio for the winter camp, I was excited to go back, I really enjoyed it in summer and Kelly told me it turned into a winter wonderland in winter so was looking forward to the different activities offered in the winter. although in my condition i cant imagine i would be doing any of the physical activities, such as the skiing and ice skating, I think I will stick to the craft room, i enjoyed it and have come up with all different kind of activities for the kids to join in on, like making fake snow, ornament making and baking. Kelly already decided he was gonna stick to the physical workshops even though he was appointed to be a camp ranger along side Dan he still wanted to run some of the workshops as well as thats what he enjoyed most, he couldn't wait to try out the snow slopes apparently, saying he would snowboard and ski all the time when he was a kid so had expertise in that department.

I smile at him as I hold my arm out for him to help me up as I groan and stretch "need a hand getting ready" he asks me as a I shake my head, holding my back as I stand up "no, im good, i'll meet you downstairs, what time are we leaving" I ask him

"I was aiming to leave for 9 but its whenever your ready, so no rush" he says smiling at me and holding my hand, stroking the back of it with his thumb, I smile at him and kiss his cheek before I walk around the bed, grabbing a towel and heading to get a shower.

it didn't take me long in the shower as I didn't wash my hair, having already done that last night. i just wanted to freshen myself up from the night sweats I've been having lately that have been keeping me up. 

once dressed I made my way downstairs hearing distant laughing in the kitchen coming from Shay and Kelly "Hey sweetheart, how you doing" I hear kelly's mom ask me as she made her way into the living room coming from the kitchen "morning, im doing fine thank you" I tell her as she smiles "be careful, they're having a food fight in there" she says nudging her head back towards Kelly and shay before going to sit on the sofa, I stand at the kitchen door watching shay try to put chocolate spread on kelly's face "morning" i say getting their attention, kelly smiling at me as he holds up a plate of pancakes with strawberries and chocolate on them "for you" he says as i smile and walk over to the island just as shay wipes some chocolate spread on kellys nose "Yes, gotcha, distracted by the pregnant girlfriend at 12 o clock" shay shouts as Kelly wipes his nose trying to wipe it back on her.

I start to eat my pancakes as shay pours me some orange juice into a glass "so I guess your calling shotgun" shay asks me as she sits on the stool opposite me "im carrying bigger cargo" I say stroking my bump "so I think I automatically claim front seat, I need that extra leg room" I say as we both chuckle.  "yeah plus mom and dad need to be up front, so I guess i'll be your adopted child for the next couple of weeks, get you two practising having someone in the back" Shay says as I drink some of my juice "you bet ill be asking you every 5 minutes are we there yet I or shout i'm hungry at every rest stop we pass" she says laughing as I roll my eyes as Kelly comes over to her and grabs her shoulders tickling her slightly "you do that, and i'll leave you at the roadside in the middle of nowhere" Kelly says chuckling as she hits his arm "you wouldn't dare do that to me im your best friend, your favourite person in this whole world" she tells him whilst winking at me "oh yeah watch me and are you sure about that" he says as they both start play fighting, shay managing to get him in a headlock "go on say it....say im your favourite person in the world" she says tightening her arm around his neck as Kelly looks at me both of them laughing as I chuckle.
