Kelly's PoV

Sleep seemed to have done Stella some good she was up before everyone this morning making a big fry up breakfast for everyone, it was the smell of the bacon that woke me up.

When I had felt her side of the bed empty I knew she was either in the toilet or in the kitchen, it was only when I heard her very distinctive laugh coming from down the hall I knew where she was, immediately getting out of bed throwing on my tshirt and jeans and headed down the hall to the living room where she was plating up all the food with Gabby.

Everyone came out shortly behind me helping themselves in to the food Stella told me she had cooked up.

"So you feeling better after a sleep" I asked her after I finished my bacon and egg waffle.

"Yeah...really must have been something I ate, as I woke up and checked this morning and I've still not started, so it could be any time today which is annoying as I'm gonna be checking all day" she says taking her plate to the sink.

"I'll do that stand back and check thing for you..." I tell her as she turns around and looks at me confused "how do you know about that?" She asks me a little amused "I see girls doing it all the time in school, and as your incredible, caring boyfriend" I tell her going over to her and placing my plate in the sink as I wrap my arms around her "I'll take one for the team and be your personal spot checker" I tell her chuckling as she chuckles and hits my chest

"You just want an excuse to look at my ass" she says pushing me away as she turns around to wash our plates.

"Damn, caught onto that did you" i ask her as she hums and turns her head to me "I know you so well Kelly Severide" she says winking at me as I slap her ass a couple of times before I kiss her cheek "well I'm going to go get some fresh clothes from my cabin" I tell her as she turns her head and kisses my lips "don't be long...I'll miss you" she tells me as I smile at her "I'll only be gone 5 minutes, I don't take as long as you remember" I tell her as she fake gaps and pushes me away again.

I move back and kiss her quickly before I head out the cabin and to mine.

Stella's POV

I watch Kelly leave as I turn back to the sink and dry our plates before putting them away.

I feel someone poke my side as I turn around and see Gabby washing her plate "couldn't help over hear you and Kelly talking? Have you still not had your period this month?" She asks me as I shake my head "no but I'm getting cramps so should be today or tomorrow...why" I ask her as she leans on the side and looks at me

"Stella...you remember our periods are sync right...I finished mine last week" she says as I turn to her "what you trying to say?" I ask her as she tilts her head "come on Stella, I know you're not stupid...have yous been using protection?" She asks me as I gulp and shake my head "no, but the first time we didn't use it we went out and got the pill, and I've been taking one everyday" I tell her as I turn away "maybe the pill has messed my cycle up" I say as I start tidying up the side but then remember the day of my birthday and after when I was too distracted with my parents and the storm, so completely forgot to take it.

I slowly turn back to her with a worried look "oh I don't like that look" Gabby says as I think back to when I was sick early hours this morning, the food didn't seem to unsettle anyone else "I may have forgot one or two days" I say as her face drops

"But surely that shouldn't matter...right" I ask her a little worried "Stella..." she says eye balling me with a serious look.

I shake my head "no....no I can't be...and I'm not...I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation...and it's not, THAT" I tell her turning around a taking a deep breath before heading to the bedrooms to get changed.
