Kelly's POV

I looked up at Hazel and the unknown woman as they entered the room, the mood in the room suddenly shifted as Stella gripped onto me and then grabbed the bars of the crib stopping Doctor Knowles from moving the crib out "we're not letting you take her without us" I hear Stella say as dr Knowles looks at Hazel giving her a nod as she moves around to the other side of the crib lowering the bars as she picks summer up, immediately disturbing her from where she was comfortable, causing her to cry.

"No...you can't do this, bring her back" Stella shouts as Hazel and Doctor Knowles walk out the room with summer, we instantly go to follow them but our path is blocked by the woman "I need you to stay here, I need to ask you both some questions, the quicker we get them done the quicker we can get this all sorted" the woman says as Stella keeps looking over the woman's shoulder constantly trying to get past her as she shouts for them to bring her baby back.

She stands back and points at the woman "you tell them to bring her back and you tell them to bring her back NOW!" she shouts whilst crying as the woman shakes her head and holds her arms out stopping stella from getting past her "Im sorry, I can't do that..." the woman says sadly as I grab Stella and pull her back to me, her body instantly collapsing into my chest as I wrap my arms around her burying my head against hers "it's okay, we'll get her back, we'll get her back" I whisper to her as I stroke her back to try calm her down.

"Now my names Angela, as you've probably gathered I work for the department of child and family services and I just need to ask you a few questions" she says holding up her badge as I feel Stella turn around "why? We told them all we know, why can't we be with our baby" Stella asks Angela as she takes out some papers from her bag "the doctors had some concerns regarding the 2 injuries in such a short period of time, and given the suspicious circumstances of the incident they have to involve us" Angela says handing us a piece of paper from her file.

"As of this moment all of your parental rights have been temporarily suspended and handed over to ourselves, whilst we take on your case" Angela says as I look down at the paper in Stella's hand.

"Child abuse Allegations are you serious? We came here for help not to be investigated, we would never lay a finger on her" I tell her as she looks at us sympathetically "and that's why I'm here, to help get this all sorted as quickly as possible, the last thing we ever want to do is remove a child from their home but unfortunately given the nature of summers injuries we have a duty of care to every child that gets flagged to us, so until further notice she will not be returning to your care until I can fully assure her safety" she tells us as I feel stella move away from me as she backs up to the chair and sits down covering her mouth as she keeps reading the paper.

I look at her then back at Angela "do you honestly think we would ever purposely hurt our child, Do we look like the kind to do such thing" I ask her as she looks at me and shrugs "we see all kinds of cases, we're just thinking of the best interest of the child, if you have nothing to hide you should have nothing to worry about and summer will be back with you before you know it" Angela tells us as I shake my head and go over to Stella as I crouch down in front of her, my body immediately becoming wrapped up in her arms as she cries against my shoulder.

Once Stella eventually calmed down and was able to talk we were transferred to a separate private room For Angela to ask us the questions which we managed to answer, the answers being the same that we gave the doctors.

Angela informed us that she will need to come out to our home to inspect it and make sure we were indeed following all the guidelines for safe sleeping which she said she would like to do today if possible as the sooner she can tick it all off and be happy with us the sooner we get summer back.
