"I don't understand you, man, the rogues are attacking much more often and stronger than usual, and yet you still won't allow female fighters", Jake was telling him, frustrated."
You killed us with training like we aren't the strongest pack, imagine how strong would we be if girls could fight too?"
"Are you having a problem with the way I train my pack, Jack?" Kayden asked him in a very serious tone.
Although they were friends forever, he didn't allow anyone to tell him what to do, and if anyone talked to him the way Jack did just now, he wouldn't be alive anymore.
"You know that's not what I meant", Jake said.
"I allow Omegas to train, I treat them good, all, which you can't find in most of the packs", Kayden said.
"Yeah, just not the women, even Ella wants to train, but you won't allow it!" Jake told him.
"I need to train her myself at home", he mumbled to himself.
"You know my rules, and what you do in your free time is none of my business", Kayden said.
He didn't need to raise his voice, he was already cold and solid, because his face had no expression other than seriousness, and Jack didn't remember when was the last time he saw him smile.
"Now, come on, we have work to do, new warriors need to be trained!" He stood up and walked out of the office.
Jake just shook his head while he followed him, he would never understand this man, he thought, but even after so much time, he didn't give up.
He wasn't always that serious and cruel, as the other pack's called him, no.
Once he was different, but his life changed in one moment, and he became cold and distant.
He closed up his heart, changed the rules, and killed every enemy that stood up against him, gaining the title of the cruelest Alpha in the country.
Everyone was scared of him, except Jack, he knew the truth, and the fact that his friend was there somewhere, in the shell he created around him.
Alpha Kayden, the ruthless of all.
"Blake, please, you know don't like seeing you in bruises, even if it is for the pack's best warrior", Alora told his younger brother.
Blake smiled, chewing a pancake she made him.
Their father died as a pack warrior, defending their mother, and she couldn't stand that, knowing that her brother was one of them too.
A mother was a human, but their father was a werewolf, and her mate.
He was the best warrior in the Black Moon Pack, and he died defending the same pack.
They lived far from the pack, in their own house, where both of them grown up.
Alora was a human too, and she was thankful for that.
She was working as a doctor and didn't want to have anything with that mean Alpha of them, but as a werewolf, Blake was one of them, more than she would ever be, and she understood that.
She didn't like it, but she accepted it, just like the fact that he was living there now.
"Come on, sis, I know you're free today, come and see me, you haven't been there in a while", Blake told her.
"And see your ass kicked as if I don't have that enough at my job", Alora rolled her eyes.
"I bet Ella would love to see you", he played on the heart card.
She laughed hard.
"I can't believe you're doing this" " she told him, although it was a long time since she saw Ella, she visited Alora usually when she went into town.
She sighed, biting her lips, whenever she was nervous and thinking.
"I'll think about it", she said, gaining a big smile from him.
"Hold on!" Alpha Kayden ordered while Blake was fighting with the other warrior.
Blake was exhausted but okay, while the other one had likely broken arm, but Kayden insisted that he keep fighting, and Blake knew that.
They would fight until one of them fainted or gave up from exhaustion.
Only then, Alph Kayden would stop the fight.
Alora couldn't believe her eyes, while she was standing afar and looking at what was going on.
She knew that things had changed but now she knew how ruthless the Alpha was.
Who would say?
While he was standing in front of the fighting ground, shirtless, covered in sweat, with his short light brown hair and piercing green eyes, he looked like an Adonis himself.
The rage was growing inside her and she decided to put an end to this nonsense.
Even though she knew that werewolves heal fast, she couldn't think that Blake could be in the same place as the other one.
A gentle breeze was blowing, carrying all sorts of scents around as usual, but something made Alpha Caiden look in her direction.
His face paled and his fists clenched, while she was walking toward him.
Her blond hair was on her shoulder, carried by the wind, and her green eyes were full of rage, together with tears.
Her small but perfect body tempted him to take her there and now.
For the first time in ten years, he felt something like that, and it was the death of him.
The only thing he didn't want to happen.
He didn't want his mate to show up, not now not ever again, and what the worst part was, she was a human.
But, he couldn't imagine what she was capable of, even though she was human.
She was angry walking toward him and she didn't care that every look was now on her.
She was a woman on a man's ground, which was forbidden.
"You, Alpha, what the hell are you think you doing?" She asked him in an angry tone.
He looked at her, from head to toe, and his eyes stayed on hers.
His face didn't show any expression.
He had great self-control, life taught him itself.
"Yes, I'm talking to you", Alora said, pointing her finger at his bare chest, but she was confused for a moment, feeling tingling in her body.
What the hell was that?!
