"I came to see how are you", Ella said, when she entered the room.
Alora was sitting on the bed, fighting to gain strength to not cry anymore.
"Are you crying, sweety?" Ella came and hugged her.
"Please, don't, everything will be okay" " she told Alora, trying to calm her.
"I'm not crying, I'm just a bit sad", Alora lied.
"Oh, and why are your eyes red?" She asked, suspiciously.
"I have a headache", She lied again to her friend.
"Hm, I would have it too, if I were you, but honestly, I don't know what to say to you, it's not fair", Ella said.
"It doesn't matter, I won't be locked up in the house, without being able to work or live like I want", Alora said.
"I understand, and even if that's for your own good, it sucks", Ella said.
"Kayden was a bit harsh with you, it's unforgivable", she said.
"Maybe Jake will talk some sense into him, but I doubt it because when he decides something, it's over", Ella said.
"It's fine, Ella, I just don't want to talk about that now", Alora said.
She was devastated by Kayden's behavior and sad, at the same time, because he didn't believe in her.
"Okay, I should be going anyway, I'll come to see you later", Ella said before she left.
Alora was relieved.
She couldn't think straight, all that she could think about was not being here now.
Because, if Kayden continues with his decisions, she will decide differently, what's best for her and the baby, even if that breaks her heart.
She can defend herself and the child, she was a warrior, for God's sake!
She's pregnant, not dead, or incapable.
Alora was so disappointed in Kayden, that it broke her heart.
A bit later, he came into the room.
Alora was on the bed, thinking about everything, and he approached her.
"We should talk", he said seriously.
"About what?" She asked.
"You said everything, not to mention that our friends were there, which was more hurtful", she said.
"Alora, you must understand the seriousness of this situation you're in", he said.
"I understand very well", she said.
"You ordering, I obey, is that it?" She asked.
"That's bullshit and you know it", he said.
"You must understand how I feel, I must protect you and my child", he said.
"Our child, it's my child too, Kayden, I carrying him", she said.
"Why do you have so little faith in me?"She asked.
"That's not it, you don't understand how I feel about all this", he said.
"I can't, you won't let me, you put a wall between us, and no one can't break it", she said.
"When will you stop doing this?" She was persistent.
"Tell me, then, tell me how you feel", she said.
"I..., can't", he answered, coldly.
"You can't or you won't?" She asked, angrily.
His face was without motions again, but his eyes were darker than usual.
Hade was near, but he didn't let him out, otherwise, he would tell her.
Hade adored Alora and Fera, at the same time.
He would communicate with Fera, but Kayden didn't let him, so he was powerless now.
"Fine", Alora said.
"You can order me around as much as you like, but I won't obey you like you expect me to", she said.
"I won't be trapped here in the house all time, while there's life outside, my life", she said.
"Alora, don't defy me, I made up my mind", Kayden said, with a deep voice.
"Then, we should see about that, mister Alpha!" She said, trying to control herself because she could scream right now.
"You can sleep in your office tonight", she said.
"The hell I will, I'm sleeping in my bed, and that's final", he said in disbelief.
"Then I will sleep in the other room", she told him.
"You won't do such a thing, because we both need each other close, and you damn know it!" he was angry now.
"Shit!" She hissed and turned around to the other side.
This man was impossible to talk with, Alora thought.
He couldn't open his mind, or heart to her, but if he would, everything would be different.
She needed that, they both needed that, but he just was so him, a ruthless Alpha.
In the middle of the night, Alora was awakened by Kayden walking across the room.
She looked at the clock, it was 3 in the morning.
"What's happening, where are you going?" She asked when he was dressing his gear.
"Jake needs me, you promise you won't leave this room until I get back, you understand?" He asked her, seriously.
She was looking at him, trying to process his words, but she knew there was something more, he was hiding things from her.
"Okay", she said calmly, but she had no intention of doing that.
How could he be so self-centered, like she couldn't hear all this noise and shout from outside?
The warriors and tracers were gathering, and they were in their gear, which meant there must be an attack again, and she needed to stay here like a good girl and do nothing.
"What if they come inside like the last time, regardless that the house was full of guards?
She couldn't sleep anymore.
She needed a plan for "what if".
She knew that nothing would stop rogues, not even silver window bars, if they wanted to get inside, especially when it came to Clark and Dana.
She had a bad feeling about this and the last time she was a human who couldn't defend herself, but this time it was different.
She will defend herself and her child with all she has.
Alora saw that the door opened slowly as if someone wanted to come in unnoticed.
She hid behind the door and waited for the thief to come in.
She jumped him right away, but she could hear only screaming.
"Damn it, Alora, It's me, Ella!" She shouted.
"What the hell is wrong with you, I could have killed you, damn it!" Alora shouted.
"What are you doing here?" Alora asked when she turned the light on.
"I was sent here to keep you company", she answered, still holding her neck.
"To guard me, you mean?" Alora asked, doubtfully.
