Jasper Sitwell was pissed! He stormed into the room and got the attention of the agents present. On the big, main screen, Captain America, Shadow, and Taskmaster's pictures and profiles were displayed.
"Eyes here!" He shouted. "Whatever your op is, bury it. This is Level One. Contact DOT. All traffic lights in the district go red. Shut down all runways at BWI, IAD, and Reagan. All security cameras in the city go through this monitor right here. Scan all open sources, phones, computers, and PDAs. Whatever. If someone tweets about these three, I want to know about it."
Sharon Carter, wanted to know more to understand the situation the better.
"With all due respect, if S.H.I.E.L.D. is conducting a manhunt for the heroes of World War II, we deserve to know why." She stated, mentioning their heroics seventy years ago.
"Because they lied to us." A new voice echoed in the room. Secretary Alexander Pierce walked in and received their information.
He spoke again. "Commander Watson, Captain Rogers, and Lieutenant Barnes have information regarding the death of Director Fury. They refused to share it. As difficult as this is to accept, they are fugitives from S.H.I.E.L.D."
All of the agents were in disbelief, and Pierce left to let them carry on with their work. When he exited the room a colleague walked up to him moments later.
"Mr. Secretary."
"Please tell me you located them." He spoke sternly.
"No, sir. It's bad news." The agent replied. "Rogers, Barnes, and Watson's suits were recovered from a local gym."
Pierce shook his head as his first plan failed. Their suits were the only way they could've tracked the trio. The hunt for the three soldiers were going to become a lot harder than he first thought.
"Keep searching. Put out a kill or detain order on all three of them... But try to keep them alive if you can."
The agent nodded. "Yes, sir."
.  .  .
The soldiers walked into the hospital in sweatpants and hoodies with AJ wearing sunglasses and a hat to further hide his face while Becca wore a hat and walked with her head down. Both AJ and Becca had their pistols tucked into the waistbands of their clothing and AJ's knife was sheathed up his hoodie sleeve.
The three never looked at one another but they kept walking down the hall.
"Are the sunglasses really necessary?" Steve asked.
"My whole thing is people don't know my face. Same with Becks." AJ replied.
"We still find ourselves in a predicament, boys." Becca said.
"You could say that again." Steve replied.
"You both thinking what I'm thinking?" AJ asked.
"If we are, we belong in a mental institution." Steve replied with a slight smirk.
"That was uncalled for Steven." Becca said as Steve's smirk dropped.
"We need to get the drive." AJ said as he walked ahead.
The two followed AJ through a door and down a hallway. The three stopped in front of the vending machine they hid the drive in, but they couldn't see it anymore.
"Uh oh." AJ said as his face paled.
Through the reflection of the glass, they saw Natasha and Yelena appear behind them, both chewing gum and blowing bubbles. Their sudden arrival startled the three.
