The Avengers had a mission in Lagos where the intel they received told them that Brock Rumlow would be there. Taking down Rumlow would be the end of HYDRA for the team and they were ready to end the nightmare. Wanda Maximoff, Pietro Maximoff, Yelena Belova, Becca Barnes, and Natasha Romanoff were sitting at three tables at the outside cafe while Steve Rogers was in a nearby building. Sam Wilson was on a nearby roof top as he was a back up set of eyes for the sniper. AJ was getting in position a mile away with his rifle. He was using his shield to cover the sound as well as the vibrations.
"Cap, I'm in position. Got eyes on the cafe." AJ reported in.
"How far out are you this time?" Yelena asked through the comms as she took a drink from her tea.
"Only a mile, doll. Why? Do you miss me already?" AJ retorted as he looked through his scope to see the blonde.
"In your dreams, Watson." Yelena said taking another sip from her tea.
"Got to love a good lovers quarrel." Sam chimed in. "Should have brought some popcorn." The team could hear the glee in Sam's voice.
"We need some kind of entertainment while we wait." Becca commented while Natasha smirked at her.
"I agree, this could be quite the amount of fun." Pietro added in.
"Glad to know Lena and I's relationship keeps everyone entertained." AJ said as he adjusted his scope while looking for signs of Rumlow.
"Enough with the relationship talk, guys." Steve said in a stoic tone ending the small talk. "Wanda, what do you see?"
The team all rolled their eyes at Steve cutting off their fun and returning them to the mission of apprehending Rumlow who goes by the name Crossbones now. He's been hitting police stations around the world for their firearms. The team was here in Lagos because they received intel that this police station would be hit next.
Wanda glanced over her shoulder and saw two policemen in front of the bank.
"Standard beat cops. Small station." Wanda replied as AJ trained his scope on the two cops and nodded in agreement. Wanda looked again before turning back around and took a sip of her tea. "Quiet street. It's a good target."
"I see an ATM on the south corner, which means?" AJ asked.
"Cameras."
"Both cross streets are one way, Cap." AJ added in.
"So, compromised escape routes?"
Becca chimed in after swallowing a bite of her food. "Means our guy doesn't care about being seen. He won't be afraid to make a mess on the way out."
AJ saw a garbage truck that just passed him so he decided to inform the team. "Stay alert. Got a garbage truck that just passed. It's heading your way."
"Copy Shadow. You see that Range Rover halfway up the block?" Cap asked Wanda.
"Yeah, the red one? It's cute." Wanda replied making AJ move his rifle to see the vehicle in question.
"It's also bullet proof, which means private security... Which means more guns..."Natasha started.
"Which means more headaches for somebody. Probably us." Yelena finished.
"You guys know I can move things with my mind, right?" Wanda asked more rhetorically before taking another sip of tea.
