Time skip- Charlie's leaving Leeds to go home ):

TW: Panic attack, fainting

Charlie's POV:

While I'm packing and getting ready, my phone buzzes.

Mum 🖕

Charles, you better be coming home today!

I let out a loud groan, accidentally drawing Nick's attention.

"What's up?" He abandons his studying and walks over to me.
"My mum texted me."
"What does she want?"
"She was making sure I was coming home today."
"Oh."

My head falls onto his shoulder.

C-"Yes, I'm coming home today."

M-"Good, because your cousins and auntie and uncle are coming over for dinner, same with your grandparents."

"What's going on? You look really sad." Nick kisses my head.

I show him my phone.

"Why exactly is your family coming over, even though nothings happened?"
"What date is it?" I ask.
"The 5th of May?"
"My mum's birthday is in 2 days."

Oh, no. Mum's birthday is in 2 days and I've not gotten her anything! She'll be so disappointed.

"Charlie! Calm down." Nick grabs my face.
"W-What?"
"You were panicking."
"No, I wasn't!" I manage out.
"Char, stop."

My breathing is heavy and I start to feel dizzy.

"N-Nick..." I try to walk, but fall directly into Nick's arms.

And then,
Everything goes dark...

~~

Nick's POV:

Charlie just...fainted?

"CHAR!"

I catch him in my arms, but I don't move.

A feeling of déjà vu washes over me as the "Paris Incident" comes back to mind.

My breathing starts to quicken as I realise that it's been 2 minutes and Charlie still hasn't woken up.

"Connor!" I shout.

No answer, just shuffles from the kitchen.

"CONNOR, HELP!"

~~

"Are you sure you're ok?" I ask Charlie with a worried expression.

He chuckles.

"Nick, that was 4 hours ago." He looks so tired.
"Char-"
"I'm fine, I promise."

He looks at Connor.

"Thank you."
"Anytime, Charlie."

~~

Charlie's POV:

"We're almost there." I roll down the window.
"Sadly."

My phone starts to ring in pocket, so I answer, not even looking at the contact name.

M-"Charlie."

Mum...

C-"Hi?"

M-"Are you on your way home yet?"

C-"We're just pulling into the train station's car park."

M-"We?"

I put the call on loud speaker so Nick can hear.

C-"Nick's dropping me off in his car."

M-"Right. Well, hurry up and get home."

C-"Mum, it's a 4 hour train ride home."

M-"Well, you better get on the closest train home!"

I groan.

M-"Charles, do not give me that attitude."

C-"Can't help it."

M-"Excuse me!?"

C-"The train is about to pull in, so if you don't mind, I'm gonna go say bye to my boyfriend."

M-"Charles Francis Spring, don't you-"

I hang up and put my phone on "Do Not Disturb".

"Your mum is so harsh." Nick rolls his eyes and opens his door.
"Very."

We get out the car and walk towards the train.

We talk until the train comes.

~~

The train just pulled in, so now, me and Nick are saying our goodbyes.

"Nick, I don't want to go home!" I cry out.

He pulls away from our hug and holds my face in front of his.

"Char, you'll be ok, yeah?" He's crying too.
"What if I'm not?"
"Then, I'm only a phone call away."
"Yeah?" Tears flow down my cheeks.
"Yeah."

Nick pulls me into a hug.

"I don't want to leave..." I mumble.
"Please don't think this is any easier for you then it is for me because, I promise you, it isn't." He sobs.

The last call for my train goes, meaning I only have a minute left with Nick before I'm being sent home.

"Char, I love you so much! You have no idea how much this hurts me. The only reason I've been smiling this whole week is because you were there. Please, just take care of yourself, Mon Chéri."

And just like that, our lips connect.

"I love you, Nick." I pull away and step onto the train.
"I love you more."
"You sure?"
"I'll always be sure of that."

The door shuts and tears stream down my cheeks, soaking my skin.
