"So, you and Nick are ok?" Sarah asks. "Yeah, we're ok." "That's good. Are you going to his game, Darling?" "Yeah. I'm...leaving tomorrow." "Oh." She sounds sad.
I put my plate in the sink and give her a hug afterwards.
"I'll be back soon." I reassure her. "I know."

So, am I completely stressing out about going to Nick's game TOMORROW? Yes. But, am I VERY excited? Absolutely.
"I'm going to bed, Darling. I'll see you tomorrow morning." Sarah walks in. "Ok! Goodnight." "Goodnight, Darling."
I hesitate, but pick up the courage and say:
"I love you."
She turns around and looks at me in aw.
"I love you too."
She leaves the room and I feel even happier than before. But, my mood slowly starts to change as I realise something.
I've not finished packing...
I grab my phone and call the "Rugby Lads 🏈👑" groupchat.
Only Sai answers.
S-"Hello?" C-"Hi." S-"What's up?" C-"So, I've not finished packing yet..." S-"Seriously, Spring?" C-"Sorry! I was just calling to ask how long everyone's staying." S-"Well, Christian and Otis are staying for 2 days and I'm staying with my girlfriend for 4, so if you want to join us, you can." C-"Yeah, sure. I'd be nice to spend time all together again." S-"Fully agree with you, mate."
Silence.
S-"Nick said you two got in a fight." C-"Yeah." S-"He literally sat on call with me for 2 hours just because he felt guilty for saying that stuff to you." C-"He's so pathetic." S-"You think? Anyway, I'll phone you tomorrow morning." C-"6am?" S-"On the dot."
We say goodnight and hang up.
I change into one of Nick's old hoodies and sweats, climbing into bed straight after.
I go to text Nick, but he's beat me to it.

It's an hour and a bit before I leave and Sarah's making herself breakfast.
"Have you had anything, Darling?" She asks. "No, sorry." "Do you want something quick?" "Yes, please."
She goes into the cupboard and pulls out a bag of bagels.
"Bagel and cream-cheese?" she smiles. "Yeah, thanks!"
She starts to make my bagel, so I check Instagram.
