We walk into Tao's driveway, when, Tori calls me.

T-"Charlie, you need to come home!"

C-"What? Why?"

T-"Mum and dad are..."

C-"THEY'RE WHAT!?"

T-"They're talking about...divorce."

And just for a moment, my heart stops.

C-"What..."

T-"Charlie, don't panic. Just get here as soon as you can, yeah?"

C-"Mhm."

T-"I love you, Charles. We'll get through this."

C-"Love you too, Victoria."

I hang up the call and break down in tears.

"Shh~" Tao rubs my back, letting me cry in his arms.

I get inside the house and Mum and Dad are screaming and shouting at each other.

"HE'S BEING A BABY, JULIO!" Mum screams.

I walk into the kitchen and Mum's raising her hands at Tori and Dad, Michael behind Tori, his arms wrapped around her waist.

"Charlie, get out!" Mum screams, noticing me.
"No."
"Excuse me!?"
"You don't scare me anymore, Mum." I tell her, the truth spilling out.

Her facial expression is something even Tori can't understand.

"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE, NOW!" She screams back.
"NO!"

She steps towards me, but this time, I don't flinch.

"Charles Francis Spring, you get out of my house or-"
"Or what?" I smirk, "You'll hit me?"

Tori's now smiling at me while Mum, Dad and Michael have their jaws dropped to the floor.

"EXCUSE ME!?" Mum screams.

I huff out a laugh.

"Why don't you love us like you love everyone else?" I ask for me and Tori.
"I do!"
"Act like it then!"
"You're being selfish, Charlie!"
"Selfish!? You're the one who always has to have your feelings above your children's! Not to mention that I literally self-harmed for months, didn't eat for months and almost killed myself more than once, and you didn't even notice because you were too busy having everyone running around after you! Tori's mental health has never been good and neither has mine! You never noticed, though! For years, you have shamed me for being with Nick, a boy who actually treats me like a normal person and actually tells me he loves me! You shame Tori for being with Michael, when, in reality, he's the best thing that's ever happened to Tori! You don't get to have an opinion anymore, especially not a physical one. You're the selfish one, Mum."

Mum sits there with tears in her eyes and hopefully a broken heart, but I don't care if she does.

"Why are you crying?" I ask, rage taking over.
"BECAUSE YOU'RE MY SON AND I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU'RE YELLING AT ME!" Mum cries.
I slam my hand on the counter, "OH, BITE ME!"

Mum breaks down in tears and I laugh, an angry laugh.
