It seems that Jiho was on the same page the next morning when San spoke to her about it. She had already had doubts about this marriage it seems as she was the first one to bring it up.

"Sannie?" She asked as she was flipping the last of her pancakes for them.

"Hm?" He was busy munching on the food as he had a meeting to be at today, so he was trying to hurry.

"We need to talk.... About the wedding."

He stopped in his tracks, focusing solely on her, getting worried and curious all the same. He didn't need to speak for her to have continued, her words somehow easing the tension rising in his throat.

"I think we should postpone the wedding," she paused. Her eyes weren't facing his, but a moment later she dared a look to his direction. "There's still so much we don't know, and I don't think we're ready for it yet, don't you agree? I- I mean a few more months won't hurt, right? B-But how will I bring this up to my family? They were so excited, I can't just—"

"Jiho," San interrupted, pulling her closer. He lay his palms on either side of her face, leaving a chaste kiss on her forehead before staring at her timid eyes. "Leave that to me okay? I'll talk to them, hm? No need to worry about anything, alright?"

Her shoulders sagged, she was still unsure, but was confident that he'd be able to resolve this. She nodded, "I'm glad we're on the same page then."

San smiled at her tightly, feeling as though he was punched in the gut, suddenly feeling guilty and overwhelmed. "Of course, darling. After all, happy wife, happy life, am I right?"

She cracked a smile at him before she shoved him aside and started eating. He smiled softly at the motion, when suddenly this pang of regret lingered in his movements. He watched over her carefully, assessing her almost, taking in a breath before he grabbed his jacket.

She perked up at that, "you're going now?" She said, mouth still full of food, he watched as she wiped the sides of her lips, and rushed over to his side.

"Yes, baby. I still have work today," he smiled.

She did too.

"I know that, but you haven't finished eating yet!" She said as she took the jacket from his hands and helped him get into it.

So so sweet.

San cursed at himself, fixing the jacket on himself before he turned around to face her, again cupping her face in his palms, squishing her cheeks as he spoke. "I'll be home for dinner tonight, how does that sound?"

She lit up at the idea, it's been a while since he's been there for dinner, and the smile she gave him was unforgiving. San kissed her lips as he bid his goodbyes, walking away with a heavy heart and an even heavier conscious.

San sighed as he also remembered to tell the Yangs about the new agreement, adding that to his to do list quickly and sending it off to Mingi. That was indeed how the younger got the news, so it was no surprise when he barged into his office twenty minutes later screaming, "YOU'RE POSTPONING THE WEDDING?!"

San's eyes grew wide, as he immediately stood from his chair and shut the door, making sure no one was around to hear that. "Will you shut it you imbecile! Someone could've heard you!"

"You're postponing the wedding?" He said much more calmly, still as urgently however.

San fixed his jacket by tugging it closer to his sides as he cleared his throat and fixed his posture. "Yes, yes we are."

"What d—"

"And before you say anything, it was Jiho's idea to do that," he said firmly, shutting Mingi up in the process. Mingi stayed quiet for far longer than San liked. "Would you just say something damn it!"

"I don't know what to say to you San. It's not my business anyways, just... how will you tell your father?"

San rubbed the bridge of his nose, stressed. "I don't know. I told Jiho I'd handle her parents, but mine? I'm not sure I can. My father might be furious and put the blame on me," he sighed, turning away and facing his table again. "I'll find a way, I just need time."

He felt Mingi's hand land on his shoulder, reassuring. "You got this, man. Hopefully he won't be an ass about it..." San nodded, but then Mingi did a face and San looked at him weirdly.

"What?"

"Don't tell him I said that, you know cause he's my boss and stuff, and you're like his son. I know you don't have a great relationsh— Just don't tell him?" Mingi smiled awkwardly.

San shook his head at his best friend, "of course I won't tell him, Mings. Why would even think that?"

"Well, I don't know? He could have spy gadgets in your room and be listening to us right now?" He said albeit anxiously.

San looked bewildered, before he turned serious. "Do you think he'd actually do that?"

Mingi shrugged, "I don't know, it's possible. He's Mr. Choi after all."

Safe to say after that talk San checked his office meticulously to find any sort of sign that his father could be spying on him and was surprised to find none. Funny, did his dad actually trust him? Pfft. After the paranoia was over, he got back to work, trying his best to not let anything or anyone distract him.
