One thing San got right about that night was that he would think about that day everytime he went to work. Wooyoung remembers scrubbing his shirt so much after coming back from the hospital that night. He scrubbed and scrubbed until his hands went dry and no tears fell down anymore. He ended up throwing it away, and getting himself a new one, wanting to have no actual evidence of that night, but nonetheless he still thinks about that night everyday. At work. At home. At Yeosang's place. Everywhere.
Ever since that night with Seyoung on the rooftop he has been frequenting that place more often, glad he hasn't caught sight of said girl. He does not want to remember his embarrassing attempt at kissing her. The memory of her words from that night caused shivers to run through his whole body. He pushed away the plaguing thoughts, that was a memory for a different time. Even though he said that, the thought didn't leave his mind, the unsettling feeling of that night still sticks to him uncomfortably. He was always around and would always haunt him, and now she haunts him too. He hated thinking this way but he couldn't look at her the same. Not yet at least, and he knew that was the last thing she wanted when she told him about it.
Closing his eyes, he tried to forget, instead flashes of the last night he saw San raced into his mind. "God, I love you." Yet another time he failed to say it back. He seems to never know how to say those three words back. He is always too late. San has reached out to him since, but Wooyoung can't allow himself to answer. He can't let himself tangle up more in that situation. He has to let himself breathe, and being right in the middle of the two people he craves for most, he couldn't do it.
Just then, the sound of the creaking door alerted him, making him stiffen up. He had to escape before Seyoung caught sight of him, but of course, it was never that easy. "Wooyoung, oh my gosh! Thank goodness you're here, I've been looking for you everywhere. Why are avoiding me? I- I thought you said you'd try to push past this? I know what I told you is heavy, but don't push me away for it. My reasons may have been wrong, but I care about you, and I want to be in your life. Please don't push me away like this."
Seeing her beg him made his heart clench harshly. He was being too cruel to her, so he sighed. "You're right, Seyoung. I-I'll try harder, it's just a lot..."
"I know," she whispered back. Her face was down and he noticed a tear roll down her cheek.
"I'm sorry."
"No, I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlie—" Wooyoung shook his head, cutting her off swiftly.
"How could you? I understand how tough it must've been, I'm just glad you're not in that situation anymore." She smiled at him with teary eyes as did he, before he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, "now, you wanna go chill at my place?"
"Really?" She looked so happy when he said that, making him laugh a little too loudly.
"Yeah! I kinda miss having you around, you know?" She said nothing, but the wide smile on her face was enough of an indication for Wooyoung. So, they both made their way to his place, watching a movie before Yeosang came crashing into his house and complaining about his day, not exactly noticing Seyoung until he was balls deep in an intense explanation of how far up he wants to stick his fist up his boss' ass. Not sexually, of course. He was just really pissed off, and all three got a good laugh out of it, they all really needed it, it seems.

San was busy scrolling through files on his computer when Jiho walked in, slamming some papers on his desk. "Sign it," her voice was firm, asking for no further debate. San peeked up from his device to the papers before his eyes finally landed on the heaving girl. He made no move toward the paper, and Jiho was growing impatient, "sign it, San. For goodness sake, get me out of my misery."
San straightened his back, looking down at the papers on the desk, the words "DIVORCE AGREEMENT" staring right at him as he did so. He looked back up at Jiho, his expression shows no sign of what he is thinking. When he finally speaks up, Jiho closes her eyes as she feels the nightmare will never end. "I'll sign it, but I just hope you know my family have already arranged for you to be wedded to my brother Jongho." His smile was cruel and vicious. He was dripping with venom as he said it, she didn't know why he hated her so much. And maybe he didn't hate her in particular, but this all felt very targeted.
"And what if I disagree?" She pipes up, voice shivering as she felt her walls crumble around her.
"You'll have to talk to your parents about it, they already agreed. This is out of my hands, Jiho," he shrugs, and she feels the first of fresh tears stinging her eyes. She refuses to cry, yet when San speaks up again, she feels herself falter. "Still want me to sign?"
She thinks about it, but her answer comes a second too quick. "Yes, please sign the paper, San. Let's get this done as quick as possible." San only nods, reading over the paper quickly to see all the terms and conditions, shocked to see that she asked for nothing over what the law says, and his face shifts to a softer expression as continues reading. Eventually, his fingers twitch as he holds the pen, but is soon gliding smoothly on the surface of the paper his signature, before passing the paper to Jiho.
"Hope this can be dealt with and completed as quickly as possible. As what will happen with you and Jongho, I do not know. You can discuss that amongst the people in charge. I'm sorry, Jiho, I really am." She knew he was not apologizing for the marriage issue she had to deal with, but with the betrayal he caused her. She could see it in his eyes, the almost tender look, but she's seen it when his mind was elsewhere, probably tracing back to Wooyoung even when they were alone together. The first tear falls down then, but she quickly wipes it away.
"It's okay, San. I just hoped it didn't have to end up this way." He nodded solemnly as she picked up the papers to leave. As she approached the door, she turned around partly, eyes meeting San's for a brief moment before, "goodbye, San."
"Bye..." He barely managed as she was already out of frame, "Jiho." When she closed the door, San rubbed his temple, his headache resurfacing almost immediately, making him groan as he smacks his head on the table in distress. He calls Mingi few short minutes later, telling him to cancel all other meetings for the day and walking out of the company.
