The next time San visited Wooyoung's place, he came in with a bouquet of flowers and a wide smile on his face. When the door jingled away, alerting the staff of a new customer, San wasn't met with nice stares as he was faced with a deep scowl on Yeonjun's face. San tried not to roll his eyes or ruin his mood as he was here to pick up Wooyoung from his shift, having asked him what time he would be done last night. Instead, he approached the counter and sat by the stool waiting patiently for Wooyoung to walk out of the back room as he presumed he was getting out of his work attire.
"What are you doing here? Should I tell the manager to ban you from ever coming here again? What's your problem, man?" Yeonjun attacked as soon as San sat down.
San calmly faced him with a tight smile on his face, his grip tightened around the bouquet before replying. "I'm here to see Wooyoung, and don't worry, we've already spoken. We have both decided to give this a fair shot, so if you'll excuse me, I'm waiting for my date."
Yeonjun looked stunned in his place, turning around when Wooyoung's voice called out, "oh, Sannie? You're here already?"
San stood up with a soft smile, approaching the younger with the flowers in hand, before placing a kiss on his cheek along with the flowers. Wooyoung gasped, and San's smile widened, "of course, princess. I was very excited to see you, I've been waiting in the car for six minutes before walking in actually."
Wooyoung smiled at him, but before he could reply, a clearing of a voice can be heard behind them. He turned and saw a concerned look on Yeonjun's face, "can I have a word with you, Youngie?"
San's arm wrapped protectively around Wooyoung's waist at the question, but the younger eased his worries by placing a soft kiss on his cheek and letting him hold the flowers, whispering, "I'll be right back. Thank you for the flowers, honey." San's grip faltered at the pet name, allowing Wooyoung a chance to escape before San could even realize. Once alone, Wooyoung looked at Yeonjun questioningly, "what's up?"
"Are you sure about this? I don't know much about your relationship with him, but didn't you say it was over between you two?" Wooyoung could see the concern etched onto his friend's face, so he tried to explain.
"Look, I know what I'm doing, okay? We said we'd stop whatever is happening whenever I decide to, we're just going out on a couple dates, and trying to get this right. I know you're worried, but I got this, okay?"
Yeonjun sighed, "I don't know, Woo. How are you sure he'll stop when you decide to stop? I just want you to be safe."
"I will be, alright? And if anything happens, I know I've got you there to help me, yeah?" Although he wasn't very convinced, he just nodded as reply.
"Of course, Woo. I'm always going to be there for you, just... take care of yourself, and make good choices."
Wooyoung smiled at him, "I promise."
That seemed to do it, as Yeonjun watched as Wooyoung made his way back to San and soon out of the diner. He was still worried for him, but he trusted in Wooyoung's judgment, so he busied himself with work until it was time for him to leave as well.

San has been spoiling Wooyoung over the last couple of days, going to fancy dinners, catching up on movies, visiting museums, and buying him enough roses, his house would be considered a garden. This time, the two were returning from yet another movie, holding hands to keep out the cold, huddling close as they bicker over the film.
"That was ridiculous, wasn't it? So unrealistic," Wooyoung grumbled.
"I think it was pretty nice, actually. It's a good distraction from real life, no?"
Wooyoung looked at him skeptically, "didn't think you'd much of a fantasy enjoyer."
"I'm not! The movie just wasn't as bad as you say," San argued back.
"Hmm, you're right, I suppose. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was pretty fucking fantastic, and he was hot as well."
San stiffened up, "no, you're right. The movie was ass!"
The younger snorted, "you're so cute, Sannie." That made him smile as he looked ahead as they were nearing his apartment. Once they arrived, San fumbled with the keys before finally managing to get it open and walk in. Wooyoung sat on the couch first, as San made his way to the kitchen, "could you fetch me some water, Sannie?"
San walks back to the couch, glass in hand for Wooyoung as he settles in next to him. He feels the younger snuggle into him a second later, sighing out in satisfaction. There was the soft hum of light music in the back, curtesy of San, as well as the sounds of their synchronized heartbeats rattling in their chests. San was deep in thought thinking about his future with the man in his arms. He knew he was more than ready to take the next step, but was scared he was moving too quickly for the younger's liking. Just as the thoughts got too loud, San began to speak up, "Young-ah, I-"
He stopped his speech noticing the small yawn accompanied by the shut eyes of the younger in his arms. San protectively held him closer, cursing to himself as he realized he might stir him awake as he carries him to the room. Gambling with his luck, he lifted him up in his arms, noticing Wooyoung's eyes flutter open before ultimately remaining shut, San sighed out, carrying him to the bed. He considered leaving him alone, but after remembering Wooyoung's love for hugging things as he slept, he cuddled near him, keeping his arms wrapped around the smaller's back. Looking down, a soft smile made its way to San's face as he saw the younger's angelic features look so pure and relaxed in his state. With a last glance, San left a small peck on his forehead, holding him closer, before too drifting to sleep.
