Walking down the corridor alone, the silent hum of my brain was broken by the sudden rush of anxiety and dread of what lay ahead.

Taking a deep breath to steady my nerves, I let my thoughts wander back to last week before Parsa decided to help me. I couldn't stop negative thoughts from creeping into my mind as I approached my class. My hands, icy cold as they were, gripped tightly on the bag hanging off my shoulder, as I couldn't bear to face the gaze of my classmates even for a second. It felt like the memories of the nightmarish week were still fresh in my mind.

For a brief moment, my mind wandered to a fantasy where Parsa hadn't left early this morning while I was still asleep. A sudden wave of loneliness washed over me as I pictured myself walking to class with him...

I paused for a second and shook my head, trying to rid myself of my imagination and keep my head straight.

Don't rely on him too much. My inner voice warned me to be cautious and not get my hopes up. He's no different from them...

Gathering my courage, I glanced inside nervously. The atmosphere in the class was strangely calm, seemingly different from last week. After a short pause, I quietly stepped towards the empty desk that belonged to Parsa and me, my body trembling slightly from the adrenaline rush.

I sat behind my desk, scanning my surroundings with heightened senses and caution. In an instant, my gaze shifted to my left side and I froze, unable to believe what I was seeing.

Yousef was leaning back into his seat, eyes closed and his left hand encased in a cast. His friend seated next to him had a large bandage wrapped around his head. Their friend seated behind them had a broken leg, a clear cast covering almost half of his leg. Plus, two of Yousef's friends were absent.

I tilted my head in wonder, thinking. What's going on? Have they been caught in a fight or something?...

The atmosphere instantly shifted when Parsa finally arrived; every head in the room turned to him as if alerted to a sudden threat. His dominance was unmistakable, like an imposing Alpha male that demanded respect and obedience.

In an instant, everyone seemed to flinch, their entire demeanor changing to one of fear and trepidation. Some students even lowered their gaze, their body language shifting into a protective stance as their shoulders hunched over and their heads tilted down.

In a swift movement, I got up from my seat when Parsa got close to our shared desk, letting him pass by and take his seat.

As I did so, our bodies briefly brushed against each other, the sensation of his touch causing a tingle to run down my spine. He sat down in his own seat, quietly observing the room with his sharp focus.

With his arms crossed over his chest and staring at me with an intimidating gaze, his gesture was clear; he wanted me to sit back down. A tense silence hung in the air, his imposing presence leaving me feeling unsettled and on edge. For a brief moment, it almost felt like all the air had been expelled from the room, leaving me struggling to breathe. A faint tightness could be felt around my throat as my pulse quickened.

His cold stare didn't flinch as his head tilted back. His eyes closed and his lips stretched into a sneer as he muttered, "Pathetic losers..."

My eyes were constantly darting back and forth between Parsa and the other students as I felt something off about the whole situation. My anxiety steadily rose to an uncomfortable level as my mind started to connect the dots.

An ominous feeling began to spread through my body as the gears in my brain turned.

It's him... the voice echoed through my head, stirring up my fears and increasing my anxiety slowly filling my body with panic. He might have done that to them... my self-preservation instinct suddenly took over, turning my skin cold as fear filled my entire body, causing my palms to erupt in a slight sweat as the dots connected, leading right to Parsa.
