After taking a refreshing shower, I slipped into the clean T-shirt and shorts that I had left behind back at the villa, having almost forgotten about their existence. To my surprise, Parsa had taken them home and even washed them, saving me from having to wear those bizarre strawberry-patterned pajamas. I padded out of the bathroom, my gaze falling upon Parsa as he sat on the edge of the bed, calmly swallowing his pills with a glass of water in his hand.

"C-Can I ask what kind of pills they are?" I asked cautiously, perching myself on the edge of the bed beside him.

"The kind that helps me sleep and keeps me sane..." Parsa set his empty glass down on the side table and released a weary sigh, his gaze still directed at the floor. "It's useless though..."

I watched him intently, my eyes tracing his features illuminated by the soft glow of the dim light. I nodded silently in understanding, my heart heavy with sadness. "I see..." I murmured, my feet swinging gently back and forth.

Parsa turned his gaze towards my legs, a small smirk playing on his lips as he posed the question, "Have you been going to the gym?"

I glanced down at my legs, holding them up for inspection. "Yeah, I can't let your money go to waste," I replied sheepishly.

Parsa looked at me from head to toe, his hands gently grasping my arms, feeling the firmness of my muscles. "Seems like you've gained some muscle," he remarked, his tone calm and composed.

I tensed up, my cheeks flushing pink as I shyly met his gaze. "Really?"

"Get up and do a turn..." Parsa commanded; satisfaction was evident in his expression.

I obeyed, standing up straight, an expression of excitement on my face as I twirled around to show him. Parsa closely observed me with his keen eyes, much like a proud parent watching their child accomplish something which made me feel proud of myself.

Without hesitation, I then stood before him, pulling the hem of my T-shirt upward to expose my abdomen. "Look, these two lines just showed up!" I exclaimed, a smile gracing my face as I eagerly sought his reaction.

Parsa's fingers gently grazed my stomach, his eyes flickering up at me. "Well done," he acknowledged.

My heart fluttered in my chest as Parsa genuinely praised me for the first time. I felt my face turning an even deeper shade of pink under his gaze, his eyes reflecting an unreadable emotion that hung heavily in the air.

I gingerly tugged down my shirt, averting my eyes, slightly bashful. "T-Thanks."

Parsa slowly withdrew his hand; the moment was broken. He shuffled to the other side of the bed, lying on his back with his arms folded behind his head. "Let's sleep now..."

He lay motionless on his back, his eyes closed, as I climbed onto the bed and snuggled under the blanket. The room was filled with tense silence. I curled up on my right side, my gaze fixed on Parsa's still form, my mind lost in thought. He's been acting strange since the evening... It's not like him-

"Don't stare at me," Without even opening his eyes, Parsa warned me.

I let out a soft huff and rolled away, turning my back on him. "I'm not," I mumbled stubbornly, though my curiosity remained piqued.

I closed my eyes, slowly drifting into a peaceful state. I guess I can sleep well tonight...

The tension and anxiety that had plagued me for days seemed to subside, replaced by a calmness that came from his presence.

As I slowly slipped into sleep, my tranquility was violently shattered by a vivid nightmare. In my dream, I was back in that harrowing night when Parsa had overdosed. I found myself caught in a desperate struggle to rouse him, my hands trembling and my voice hoarse from shouting his name. His body lay motionless and pale, a chilling sight that sent shockwaves of panic coursing through me.
