"Ryan, it's time to wake up, Bitch."

I grumbled and buried my face in the pillow as Danial shook me relentlessly. "Ugh, stop it!"

"Wake up, you lazy bum!" Danial suddenly yanked the blanket away and delivered a sharp whack to my rear end, jolting me awake in an instant.

I shot Danial a glare; my annoyance was evident. "Just let me sleep!"

Danial tugged on my arms, pulling me up into a sitting position on the bed. "We need to go to the buffet for breakfast before we leave," he explained. "The teacher wants us all to meet in the lobby by 9, and it's already 10 minutes past 8!"

"Fine..." I rubbed my tired face, still feeling the effects of a restless night spent overthinking. "Just stop nagging me like my mom..."

The sound of the hotel room door opening caught my attention, and I lifted my head to see Parsa walking in, wearing a tight black tank top and white shorts, his hair damp with sweat.

Before I could say anything, Danial asked Parsa while he walked over to the closet to retrieve his crossbody bag. "Where have you been?"

"Jogging," Parsa answered curtly as he settled down on the sofa and panted, trying to catch his breath.

I stumbled out of bed, scratching my stomach and looking around hesitantly, my heart racing for no clear reason. "Where's Kia?" I inquired.

Danial then replied while grabbing the door handle, "He's already at the buffet with his friends." He glanced back at Parsa and me. "Don't play around and come down quickly, okay?"

With a final warning, Danial exited the room, leaving me standing in the middle of the room, feeling overwhelmed by a sudden wave of emotions.

Parsa's voice cut through the silence, a hint of impatience in his tone. "Aren't you gonna use the bathroom?"

I fidgeted anxiously before hurrying towards the bathroom, murmuring, "Uh... Yeah..." In my haste, I didn't let my hand do its job first to open the door, and instead, my legs moved forward on their own, causing me to bash my forehead against it. "Ack!" I staggered back, a sharp pain searing through my head.

Parsa's laughter echoed through the room as he shifted his focus to me. "What were you thinking that deeply about, not noticing the door?"

I swiftly opened the door and hurried inside, ignoring his remark, feeling utterly embarrassed. Once the door closed behind me, I leaned against it and let out a low whine, muttering, "It's all your fault..."

I stood in awe at the enchanting landscape before me: a vast lake with water so vividly pink it seemed otherworldly, nestled within the towering walls of rugged hills. The sun hung high in the sky, casting its golden rays upon the shimmering surface, making the water glisten with an ethereal blend of pink and gold hues. It felt as if I had stepped into a scene from a fantastical storybook, where reality and fantasy intertwined seamlessly.

Flocks of flamingos moved around the lake in a harmonious and synchronized motion, their feathers iridescent in the sunlight. Peaceful silence reigned in the area, broken occasionally only by the soft lapping of the water against the shoreline.

I stood by the shore, utterly captivated by the lake's beauty. "Why is it pink? How is this even possible?" I inquired; my gaze fixed on the vibrant waters.

Parsa walked over and stood beside me, his voice carrying a hint of mockery. "Some kinds of plankton are doing unholy things down there."

I glanced at Parsa with a stone-faced expression. "Don't try to fool me," I said, the warm breeze gently caressing my skin. The weather here, strangely warm despite winter, had us all dressed in T-shirts and shorts, unlike back in our city.
