i sat on my desk with my head lying on top of the table as i stared at the girl a couple desks away from me. reo sat beside me and paid close attention to the teacher's demonstartion about the subject in hand, something i found too boring to pay attention to. all i could think about was the fact that today, i'd finally talk to her about all of the bothersome things that have happened in our relationship.
i noticed that she went back to her routine almost immediately, excluding watching us play football in the school field whenever we would...
"nagi-san! don't sleep in class!" i heard the teacher yell, and fought the urge to groan loudly at his words. the class turned to look at me as i slowly sat up straight. i caught y/n's eye for a split second, though she was quick to look away when she realized that i'd caught her staring.
"sure, teach..." i mumbled, holding back a yawn. i heard reo letting out a couple chuckles at me, making me roll my eyes.
after the last boring 1 hour long lesson, school finally ended and our classmates were up and scurrying out of the classroom. it was friday, so it was reasonable that everyone wanted to go home quickly or go to the arcade with their friends. those with club responsibilities wanted to get it over with quickly, among them being me. but i had a little thing to take care of before i'd leave with reo for the field in the school.
i looked over at y/n, to see her slowly packing her things. she was minding her own business and most likely did not even notice me staring at her this entire time. i looked over at reo, who held a thumbs up at me before leaving the classroom alongside everyone else.
when i turned back to y/n, she had already finished whatever she was doing, and she was quick to walk away.
i took a couple steps towards her and held her hand in mine, making her stop abruptly. slowly, she turned around to face me, and finally, after almost 2 weeks, were standing within vicinity of each other, without one running away almost immediately after being caught staring.
"y/n," i began, and she bit her lip nervously. i could tell that she seemed conflicted, but i appreciated that she didn't slip away. "can we talk? alone."
a couple of seconds passed of silence from us. the only thing that was heard was our classmates loud chattering and footsteps as they rushed through the hallways. i let go of her hand, and she let it fall by her side before giving me a quick nod. "ok..."
my lips curved into a smile as we both began walking out of the classroom. i made sure to walk beside her in order for her not to slip away when i wasn't paying attention, and i brought her back to where we had our argument last time.
the dark hallway in front of the staircase.
probably not the best choice due to our short history with it, but it's the most quiet and secluded part of the school.
"alright..." i began, turning to look at her. she slowly raised her head to meet my eye.

i stared up at nagi, who had his hands shoved into his pockets cooly. i could sit here and act oblivious about this, but it was palpable what he wanted to discuss. what else was there to discuss other than what happened here last time?
well, since that day, i'd done a lot of thinking and i realized how much of an asshole i might've been. i accused him of only befriending me and keeping me around for pity and abruptly ended our friendship immediately after. i wonder why he even wanted to talk after i did that...
