despite my friends reassuring me, i was still worried that the girls would tell on me to the teachers nonetheless. after all, i still didn't understand why they'd keep that a secret. even if they were ganging up on me, it's 5 against 1, and they could switch the story to the teachers however they'd like. the fact that i initiated it wouldn't be a lie, neither.

however, when i finally reached home, i was pleasantly surprised to realize that my mother was acting like normal. when i secretly checked her phone, i saw that there were no calls from the school to her either. the same with my father.

it was nice to be home for once, actually.

father wasn't frustrated meaning that he wouldn't take it out on me, so i was able to rest from the events earlier in peace.

i still felt a bit guilty for what happened before, but i was happy that things didn't turn out as badly as i thought they would.

i was really thankful for them, for what they did for me, even if i was the one bringing trouble to them.

i sat on the desk tiredly, yawning every few seconds while i leaned my head against isagi's shoulder. reo and nagi were off arguing somewhere, with chigiri trying to de-escelate the situation (although he just seemed to be fueling the fire instead). it wasn't really anything unusual, so i wasn't as bothered as i would be a couple months ago. bachira was watching intently from beside me, sometimes cheering nagi on, and other times cheering reo on, making their argument turn heated at a dangerous speed. isagi smacked bachira, making him stop with a pout.

"what is it this time?" isagi sighed.

"i dunno. lemme ask."

"me too then. i wanna hear, i don't think i trust you to be a reliable income for information..." isagi muttered, standing up and making me sit up straight. i decided to stay back, and instead watched as the two boys stormed off to their friends. i slowly brought out my notebook from my bag before beginning to doodle, feeling the cold wind passing through my hair.

"you dumbass! you need to take her out on a date! how are you two even a thing if you've never gone out on a date before? you're meant to take her out within the first week of dating!" reo yelled, making nagi groan out loud.

"why is there so much rules involving dating? it's so bothersome. we love each other, how come that's not enough?" nagi complained, tapping his foot on the ground impatiently, with his hands shoved in his pockets, one which gripped his phone tightly. the urge to disconnect from the argument and just play was almost irresistible, but reo would never let him do that.

"ooh, you love each other? you've come so far!" bachira grinned, hopping into the conversation.

"don't steer away from the point, bachira." reo huffed. "and of course even dating's got standards! you think she'd be satisfied with just that? girls need constant love and affection."

"isn't that moving too quickly? i don't get it at all." nagi muttered, rolling his eyes. "besides, if i gave her constant affection she'd explode."

reo sighed, "yeah well-"

"no, that's what i like. i'm not an affectionate person." he huffed, tilting his head to your direction instead of reo's frustrated  face in front of him.

"alright, well, dates are different! everyone knows you're not affectionate, but if you're not gonna act like a boyfriend what even is the point of dating her." reo squeezed the bridge of his nose, "a date is like the bare minimum."
