walking back home with the boys was fun. bachira was the first to leave since his home was close to the football field and chigiri had to catch the last bus before he was left stranded, so he had to go ahead of us as well. reo offered to drive everyone home, but the boys didn't want to be a nuisance so they denied help. nagi seemed like he wanted that free ride, but humbled himself when he saw that everyone else did as well... his disappointment was painfully obvious and the boys shared a laugh over it.

i quickly learnt that kunigami was actually a very warmhearted and sweet person, always striving to do the right thing. he wasn't afraid to talk to me about his heroic ideology, which i found cute. he looked like a brute at first sight due to his height and muscles, but i'd say he's the sweetest out of everyone i'd met so far. apparently there were a couple more boys to the friendgroup- being shidou, hiori and gagamaru. everyone was a football player and had a dream of turning their hobby into something bigger.

i totally believed in them, because they were really good, especially rin.

speaking of rin, he currently walked beside me with his bag slung over his shoulder and focused his gaze on the path ahead. he didn't talk the entire time unless he was  directly mentioned, and he seemed deep in thought more than anything. I wondered what he was thinking about with such a serious expression on his face.

suddenly, his teal eyes met mine and I quickly averted my gaze elsewhere, feeling a cold sweat wash over me from being caught staring. he has such an intense aura to him, it's kind of scary. he's probably the kinda guy you walk past as quick as you can in the hallways...

"your girlfriend's got a staring problem." rin spoke, and I felt the blood rush to my face from embarrassment. the other boys paused their conversation and turned their heads to look at us, and I was quick to furiously shake my head no.

"don't be so scary, man!" reo retorted, placing his hands behind his head.

rin shot him  a glare, making the boy shiver. "i'm not."

"yeah... and the sky isn't blue..." kunigami sighed.

"it's technically not, actually." reo said, and kunigami rolled his eyes. "are you on my side or his side?!"

"don't worry, n/n. he may be a bastard, but he doesn't harm girls."

"lucky you... he beats us up all the time..." nagi sighed and my eyes widened. "b-beat you up?" suddenly, rin looked more menacing than he did before, and i regretted walking by his side.

"he's nice to girls." reo grinned, smacking his friends back. rin quickly turned to the purple haired boy and glared at him. "don't touch me, you lukewarm bug!" he threatened, before sighing loudly.

"you're scaring the girl..." nagi mumbled in annoyance.

rin turned to look at me, and i jumped in surprise when his eyes met mine again.

"huh? why would she be?" he asked, making kunigami smack his forehead. "you're so dense."

rin glared at his friend, not liking his condescending tone.

"also she's not my girlfriend..." nagi muttered, staring off to the side. the boys all turned to look at him this time.

"you're still stuck on that?!"

"...she's not his girlfriend?"

"you're all idiots..!"
