"look at my drawing, mama!" you exclaimed, waving the paper up high in your hands as you rushed toward your mother. she turned around to look down at you, before a frown graced her features.
"my dear, this is the 3rd drawing you bring home this week. do you not have any school work you need to complete?" she asked, (e/c) eyes following along the paper which you waved around in excitement. quickly, you shoved the drawing in her chest before shrugging, "my teacher said my art was pretty! and i could become an artist."
she gripped the paper tightly before shoving you aside and making you stumble a couple of steps backwards in surprise.
"an artist? what nonsense is that teacher feeding you? i told you, you must become a doctor or engineer! don't you want to make mommy happy?" she said, crushing the paper in her hands before throwing it down the trash.
the sight of her enraged expression and the drawing slowly falling down and into the trashcan made you freeze, and your stomach churn. the urge to cry was irresistible, and tears were beginning to form in the corners of your eyes.
"your father will be hearing about this! it's more serious than i initially thought."

i gazed down at the boys from the metal net surrounding the field. they were all playing football together, kicking and tussling for the ball with all their might. bachira, who passed to isagi, tumbled down on the grass and coincidentally ended up dragging reo down along with him, making them all pause the game to check on the two.
the sight made me let out a giggle, and even if i was too far to be sure, i already knew that bachira was being lectured by his friends for being too chaotic.
a hand suddenly fell on top of my shoulder, snapping me out of my little phase. i spun around, only to sigh in relief once my eyes fell on top of an all too familiar white haired boy. he tilted his head, making his messy locks fall against his cheek.
"what's got you so tense, y/n?"
"i-it's nothing!" i stuttered out, waving my hands around nervously. nagi shrugged, before letting go of my shoulder. the hopped over the little metal step and into the football field. he cocked his head back to me and spoke, "you comin'?"
i blinked, before nodding and rushing after him.
"..yeah!"
we both walked over to the boys, who seemed to be taking a water break. they all gathered near the benches and rummaged through their bags for their waterbottles.
"oh! y/n! hey! ....and nagi too, i guess."
nagi rolled his eyes.
"wow. i can't believe you look more forward to seeing my girlfriend than me." he muttered under his breath.
my heart skipped a beat at his words.
he just called me... his girlfriend!
....sure, we've been dating for like 3 days now, but it's nothing i can ever get used to. at least not now... i'm still sort of in denial. like, it all happened so quickly! i haven't felt like i've gotten the chance to process this stuff, especially since i don't even know what it means to be someone's girlfriend yet. i've never had a boyfriend before, after all. neither have i had a male friend before nagi and the rest of the guys he introduced me to.
