I wasn't even that mad when he left me by myself that night. I didn't really know what we were doing anyway, so him leaving was probably for the best.

I still enjoyed the rest of that night with my girls and then the number for the bartender came very much in handy. As soon as he got off of his shift that night, we went back to his.

All confusion about Hector's hot and cold attitude, I tried to repress. He was ice cold for the past year, like an entitled little prick. Something changed. But it hadn't changed enough for all of the coldness to melt away fully. Slight glimpses of warmth did manage to escape but it seemed like even that was ruining his wintry armour.

And I wasn't going to beg to understand him if he didn't want to explain. I wasn't going to beg someone who didn't want to be understood. We had been friends, but he absolutely shattered any possibilities of that friendship ever returning.

So, I carried on living my life without him. That same fateful night, quickly turned positive again when I found myself in another man's bed.

That bartender was hot, what can I say. Plus with a name as sexy as Lorenzo, how could I resist?

We quickly developed a relationship of sorts. It was really a casual thing, to the benefit of us both, as neither of us really had the time for a serious relationship. I had my modelling career that took up most of my time. So it was more of a friends-with-benefits sort of thing.

A few weeks had gone by since the whole fiasco with Hector at the club. We hadn't really seen each other since then.

Then one random afternoon, I came back home from a very productive morning spent with Lorenzo, to find Pau and his mates gathered on the couch playing Fifa.

I cant lie, my throat was now dry from earlier activities so I made my way into the kitchen, which opened up to the living room in an open floor plan.

"Hey guys," I said to Lamine, Marc, Hector and Fermin.

"Why do you look like you've just been run over?" Lamine questions curiously. Jesus, I knew my hair was a bit messy but like common now. No need to be rude. I rolled my eyes whilst taking the last sips of the water.

"If you actually asked how I am before making rude comments about my appearance, maybe you'd find out that I actually was run over," I replied.

"Oh shit. Really?" Lamine's face was one of absolute shock and disbelief.

"No," I rolled my eyes again at how gullible this guy was.

At least my brother was smarter to belive me. Pau, still playing the game, asked my genuinely out of curiosity and his forgetfulness, "Della, where were you again?" His focus hadn't come off of the TV screen.

"Just with Lorenzo."

"Lorenzoooo? Huh?" came Lamine's annoying ass voice again.

"Who's Lorenzo, Della?" Fermin wiggled his eyebrows.

I looked around the guys in disbelief. "I'm done with this conversation. Bye guys," I sent them air kisses as I quickly ran out of the kitchen and into my room.

Before I did so though I didn't miss the tick in Hectors jaw at the mention of Lorenzos name.
Or the way his eyes bore into mine with millions of unsaid things as I turned away.
