"Mistakes were meant to be learned from, overcome. They weren't meant to destroy"
- Things we never got over

(A/N This chapter is a bit dramatic, and I thought we need some toe curling second hand embarrassment moments too in this book, so yeah let's go...)

"It's in third person's pov" Regulus announced,

October arrived, spreading a damp chill over the grounds and into the castle. Quidditch practices, tons of homework, classes everything was hectic for the students. Currently, the Five of the Gryffindor are sitting in the common room discussing something.

"A deathday party?" said Hermione keenly when Harry told them about his encounter with nearly headless nick and him inviting Harry to the deathday party. "I bet there aren't many living people who can say they've been to one of those — it'll be fascinating!"

"Why would they want to attend parties with someone whose not alive?" Peter asked in a confused tone. "There are many questionable things they do and trust me this is one of the least" Sirius said as briony scoffed shaking her head. "You are one to say black"

"What do you mean by that?" He asked narrowing his eyes on her as she just shrugged.

"Why would anyone want to celebrate the day they died?" said Ron, who was halfway through his Potions homework and grumpy. "Sounds dead depressing to me..." Rain was still lashing the windows, which were now inky black, but everything looked bright and cheerful inside.

The firelight glowed over the countless squashy armchairs where people sat reading, talking, and doing homework.

By the time Halloween arrived, Harry was regretting his rash promise to go to the deathday party. The rest of the school was happily anticipating their Halloween feast; the Great Hall had been decorated with the usual live bats, Hagrid's vast pumpkins had been carved into lanterns large enough for three men to sit in, and there were rumors that Dumbledore had booked a troupe of dancing skeletons for the entertainment.

"A promise is a promise," Hermione reminded Harry bossily. "You said you'd go to the deathday party."

"Ditch it, I doubt dead people still have feelings to get hurt" James said.

"Pfft Hermione let us chill, I ain't going to that party you four go and enjoy," Adalyn said "Lyn it isn't good to break a promise and if you don't want to go then it's ok, you stay we'll be back soon" Hermione replied.

So at seven o'clock, Harry, Ron, Arilene, and Hermione walked straight past the doorway to the packed Great Hall, which was glittering invitingly with gold plates and candles, and directed their steps instead toward the dungeons. The passageway leading to Nearly Headless Nick's party.

"It's in Adalyn's pov now" Regulus said.

I was sitting in the great hall at our house table, What's the point of attending a deathday party, I mean no offense but still I will rather be here than there with the ghosts, I sighed, but it was boring sitting here alone. "Hey Adalyn, watch doing here alone?" Shira and sam came and sat beside me, "The other four have gone to the Deathday party and I seriously didn't want to go so I stayed back" I told the other two, and they nodded their head.
