"There is nothing I would not do for those who are really my friends. I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature."
― Jane Austen

THIRD PERSON POV

The Hogwarts Express moved steadily north and the scenery outside the window became wilder and darker while the overhead clouds thickened. People were chasing backward and forward past the door of their compartment.

At one o'clock the plump witch with the food cart arrived at the compartment door. "D'you think we should wake him up?" Ron asked awkwardly, nodding towards Professor Lupin. "He looks like he could do with some food." Hermione approached Professor Lupin cautiously. "Er — Professor?" she said. "Excuse me — Professor?" He didn't move.

"He won't wake up, you'll need to shout in his ears for that" James said shaking his head.

Adalyn moved closer to the man's face, Hermione knew by the mischievous smile what she would do. So before Adalyn could shout in his ears, she pushed her back on the seat. "Why so violent girl" Adalyn rubbed her shoulders and pouted.

"Should have let her done that" James snickered as Remus glared at him.

"Don't worry, dear," said the witch, as she handed a large stack of cauldron cakes. "If he's hungry when he wakes, I'll be upfront with the driver." "I suppose he is asleep?" said Ron quietly, as the witch slid the compartment door closed. "I mean — he hasn't died, has he?" "No, no, he's breathing," whispered Hermione, taking the cauldron cake Harry passed her.

"God moony just wake up and let the children breath" Sirius said chuckling.

"We can just check it by waking him up?" Adalyn questioned the three. "Leave him, he'll wake up on his own" Hermione waved her hand.

He might not be excellent company, but Professor Lupin's presence in their compartment had its uses. Mid-afternoon, they heard footsteps outside in the corridor again, and their three least favorite people appeared at the door: Draco Malfoy, flanked by his cronies, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle.

"Well, look who it is," said Malfoy in his usual lazy drawl, pulling open the compartment door."Potty and the Weasel."

"Not this malfoy shit again" Briony groaned closing her eyes in annoyance.

"Well, Well, if it isn't my favorite person," Adalyn said giving a fake smile to him. "Oh so the blood traitor is also there, first sorting into Gryffindor and now running from your own house, you didn't think that this news won't spread, now did you?" Malfoy mocked the girl.

"What a git" sirius said his eyes narrowing.

Adalyn smirked, "It must be so hard to accept that I'm capable of making decisions for myself without my Father's input, aah but I guess some can't relate to it"

"Oohhh" The gryffindors wolf whistled laughing looking at each other. Lucius looked as if he would have surely jinxed every gryffindor for making that noise if the teachers weren't there.

Malfoy sneered, "It doesn't matter what you do, you'll still be a disgrace to your house." Adalyn stepped closer to him, "You think you're so high and mighty, but I'm done letting you walk over me. I'm done letting anyone walk over me."
