"It's wrong what they say about the past, I've learned, about how you can bury it. Because the past claws its way out."
― Khaled Hosseini
THIRD PERSON POV
Everyone was gathered in the common room after the Dada classes. The hot discussion going on included only one thing and that was, how lucky they are to have a proper dada teacher for once in the three years they started school.
The squad occupied the corner of the room. Shira, Hermione, and Sam sitting on one couch, reading and doing their homework. Harry and Ron sitting on the other couch, playing chess, while Arilene and Adalyn were sitting on the floor with their back against the couch.
Despite the ongoing commotion in the room, the group was oddly very quiet, as if all of them were captivated by their own thoughts and being interrogated by themselves. The one who gave the most expression was Ron, who had a frown on his face, cause of being defeated by Harry who was so lost in his thoughts, he didn't even know what he was doing.
"What caused them so be so depressed?" James said raising his brows, "nothing bad has happened this year"
"Maybe it's new to them? The peace and all so they can't digest it and are just remaining in their usual mood?" Peter said to which everyone gave him a weird look.
The (not) so peaceful silence was disturbed by Lavendar, "Adalyn, you've been called by Professor Lupin" Adalyn opened her eyes and looked at her with a bored face. "Ok," she said and again closed her eyes. "Adalyn, Professor has called you," Arilene said. "I know, my ears are working perfectly," She said tiredly, "Your legs aren't," Arilene said getting up from her position.
"Relax, I'm going, sheesh," Adalyn said rolling her eyes and moving out of the common room. "No one will let this soul relax for some moments," She said making her way towards the Dada class, but something caught her eye. The sky.
Is there anything more breathtaking than a beautiful sunset? At the end of each and every day, we can rely on the lowering sun painting the evening sky with sweeping shades of pinks, violets, oranges, and yellows as it leaves us in awe of the endless, majestic heavens that stretch wide across the Earth.
"Her obsession and love for nature is something beyond my reach" Lily whispered in a soft tone. "It's nice, knowing she's connected to the nature"
A wide smile spread across Adalyn's face as she changed the way to her destination. In no time she reached the Black Lake. The sun had already set, but it was not dark yet. She went and sat down near the lake and dripped her legs in the water.
"No respect for you moony" James snickered as Remus rolled his eyes, "Karma is a b*tch, it's biting me back for all the times I've skipped going to professors"
"Now that's what I call peace" She whispered to herself looking at the sky. A few minutes went by Adalyn sitting by the lake enjoying her company when suddenly she heard a bark. The hair around her neck rose, and her eyes opened suddenly as she looked around frantically. There was another bark, followed by rustling by the bushes.
