"Every word has consequences. Every silence too"
-Jean paul sartre

It was the next weekend and everyone was already settled in the room. "So who wants to read first?" McGonagall asked. "I'll do that, it's the first chapter only, I don't think there would be many traumatizing things," Sirius said taking the book and sitting beside James.

THIRD PERSON POV

Quiet footsteps could be heard in the mansion, a shadow lurking behind the curtain slowing moving towards the garden area with a huge trunk in their hand. Slowly it went towards the exit and carefully with a quiet screeching sound the main door was opened that allowed the Cold breeze to enter the mansion making a swish sound. The figure quickly moved out and closed the door.

"What mansion are we talking about here?" James whispered to sirius who shrugged. "Lemme read first"

Again the mansion was filled with pin-drop silence, no one would know what happened inside it. Well, no one even ever wanted to know, why there was shouting in the middle of the night. Blood-curling screams that were continuously heard for 8 years suddenly stopped and were heard sometimes. Why a child was thrown outside during the cold- Rainy weather, why always the sound of something continuously falling could be heard? Why? No one ever wanted to know, so now why the thing would change.

The silent-dark-gloomy mansion was of none other than The Scamander or so they called themselves. For years, the child inside it suffered. For years, Adalyn suffered in silence, too afraid to speak out against her tormentors. But now she had finally found the courage to escape from their clutches. As she walked down the street after escaping her home toward the Leaky Cauldron, she couldn't help but wonder how the last hours changed her whole mindset.

"Oh what the f*ck, I am not gonna relive my days, Go read this" Sirius sweared thrusting the book in James hand who looked at him worriedly. Meanwhile Regulus had a look of worry as he saw his brother's expressions change after reading the paragraph.

FLASHBACK

Adalyn Scamander had always known that her parents were cruel, but she never imagined the situation would go this far. It started when Adalyn confronted them about her true identity. She had started suspecting that they were not her real parents, and when she overheard them talking about it one day, she knew she had to confront them. But they didn't take kindly to her questions.

"They aren't her real parents? For real now?" Briony gasped looking at James with wide eyes.

Mr. Scamander's brows furrowed, and he let out an exasperated sigh. "What nonsense are you talking about, Adalyn?" he scolded, his voice laced with frustration. "We've raised you as our own. Why would you question that?"

"Raised me as your own? Yeah sure. Even animals would have raised their own flesh better than this" Adalyn spatted glaring at him

Mrs. Scamander's expression hardened as she stepped forward, her voice filled with disapproval. "You're being disrespectful, Adalyn. We've given you a loving home, and this is how you repay us? With baseless accusations?"
