**It's Saturday. 9 AM.**

I woke up feeling warm and a little tired. Conor was still in my bed, snuggled up with my pillow while I busied myself in the kitchen making coffee and tea. He likes his black, no sugar; I prefer mine hot with a splash of lemon juice.

Conor and I have been best friends since university-he's a year older than me.

And just to clarify, we didn't sleep together.

We almost did, though. After the party at Shelly and James's, we were both too exhausted to care about sleeping arrangements. Conor had drunk so much that he couldn't drive, so, of course, I took him back to my place. I wasn't mad about it; getting angry at him wasn't my style. Sure, he makes some questionable choices, but he's still my friend.

"Morning!" he mumbled, still nestled in my blanket, shirtless.

How did he end up shirtless? Well, after a few too many drinks, he started shedding clothes the moment we got inside. I did my best to keep him in his pants, but apparently, he thought he was at his condo.

Not that he looked bad without a shirt.

"Slept well?" I asked, handing him his coffee.

"I sure did!" he grinned, taking a sip. "Too bad I was alone in bed, though."

I spent the night on the couch, even though I wished I could have slept beside him. But we're just "friends."

I say that, but the truth is, I'm head over heels for him.
