As we continued our walk, I couldn't help but notice how many questions Ethan had been asking me. Curiosity bubbled up, and I turned to him, a playful smile on my lips. "So, why do you ask so many questions? Are you trying to be my therapist or something?"

He chuckled, the sound warm and genuine. "Not at all! I just really want to get to know you better. I think everyone has a story to tell, and yours is fascinating to me."

I felt a warmth spread through me at his words, but I couldn't help but voice my uncertainty. "I'm not really used to people being this interested in what I have to say. Most of the time, I feel like I'm the one doing all the listening."

Ethan met my gaze, his expression earnest. "Well, that's a shame because your thoughts and experiences are important. I want to hear them. It's nice to have a conversation where both people are engaged. You deserve to be heard, Lily."

His sincerity struck a chord within me, and I felt a flutter of appreciation for his approach. "Thanks, Ethan. I really appreciate that. It's refreshing to talk to someone who genuinely wants to know me. It feels nice to open up for a change."

He smiled, and I could see a spark of understanding in his eyes. "I'm glad to hear that. I think conversations like this can help us build a deeper connection. Plus, it's just more fun to explore each other's thoughts and feelings, don't you think?"

I nodded, a sense of warmth blooming in my chest. "Absolutely. It makes the time we spend together feel more meaningful." As we continued down the street, I felt more at ease, grateful for the way he was helping me navigate my own story.
