You've caused a lot of damage,
and I know you don't care.
I'll never be able to love again,
not the way I loved you.
I can't love anyone like that ever again.
And it hurts to say this,
because you still hold a special place in my heart.
It aches to imagine you not being in my life,
but I know,
deep down,
I'm ready to move on.
I've learned to let go,
even if it feels impossible sometimes.
I know I deserve more than empty promises,
and I'm learning to love myself again.
But I'll still be here.
If you ever find the courage to love me again,
I'll welcome you,
especially you,
with open arms.
