the date

Marleys pov

It was around 11am and billlie was speeding through empty back streets. "how alive are you feeling"

"why?" "lets go to one of those fun centre things" I agreed to the idea because she seemed so exited about it. and it should be fun. Turns out she had already bought us the passes so it was a good thing I said yes. We had all access to everything and we made it just in time for lazer tag.

"your gonna get swarmed once people realize you're here" I warned her as we waited with other people, this place wasn't for kids which was refreshing to not have screaming toddlers. I think its 15+. We started and it was a solo game meaning I had 25 minutes to absolutely destroy the star because she kept talking up about how good she was.

I heard people around us talking about billie and she just smiled at them continuing a conversation with me.

The round started and we all spread out. I heard people coming before they even rounded the corner. All that kc undercover I watched as a child really paying off.

I see the girls red roots easily in the lighting and shoot her from above. It takes her a solid 20 seconds to find where I was coming from and by then she was out. I blew her a kiss and continued. I got others out on my way but my goal is to beat her.

Some guys swarmed me from 3 sides as soon as I stepped into this thing for a powerup so I was out. While I was waiting I found billie recovering from someone else. Our times were matched up. 3 . 2  1 she shot me. Before I could get her. that bitch.

"payback" she said walking towards me and then passing me. Soon enough the round was over and everyone rushed out to check their scores. I ended up coming 3rd and billie was all the way down there at 12th.

"I will beat you in something" she said as we put our gear down and headed to the rest of the stuff.

We went to the trampoline section and as we were jumping I was laughing at billie having to hold her boobs. She picked her fate. it was great until I started to get really light headed again. I stopped causing my knees to buckle when billie jumped again. she stopped too when I was down laughing thinking I fell. I stood up on the side catching my breath.

"im going to get some water" I said throwing my head back to get oxygen in my lungs. She came with me and we went to the bubbler because our water was all the way in the locker with the rest of our stuff. "mars?" she said once I sat on the floor since my vison was leaving me and I had this pounding in my head.

"marley are you okay" she bent down with me. After sitting for a second it went away so I nodded. "haven't drunk enough water today" I told her standing up to drink some more. Then more again so I can rest more so I don't get a stitch.

She had some water and we sat beside eachother on the little foam covered wood blocks. I need to be able to think this through and hide this better. 

The day actually ended up being really fun but we left because billie was getting hungry and the 5 dollar small chips was the only thing she could eat from the menu there.

We drove to this place which was apparently a new vegan restaurant. "I don't know why you thought you could beat me in any of that"

"hey I beat you in the claw machine"

"I apologize" I laughed at her and i will admit she did win a few things against me.  She is also the loudest person I have ever met so everyone in the place knew she had beat me.

"what are you ordering" she asked me and I shrugged, I hadn't even looked at the menu yet.

The server was over quickly and I asked for the nutrition version. "need to keep up with the protein" I told the same excuse I told my family for years. She nodded a bit skeptical but ordered her food. I ordered this rice noodle dish and the lady walked away to tell the kitchen.

We didn't talk much the both of us tired from our 3 our session. She still had more planned for the date but she wouldn't tell me anything. We were sat beside eachother in the booths looking at the empty seat across from us in silence. We had our hands interlocked and I had removed one of her rings that were stabbing me and put it on my other hand.

I leaned my head on her shoulder and put one of my legs over hers as I am physically incapable of staying in one position for more than 5 minutes. She put her other hand on my leg . another 10 minutes later and our food came out to us. after lunch we sat around the place talking for a while.

it was later in the day and we had spent the day doing whatever we pleased. there wasnt much energy left in us so we were driving through the streets. we ended up on the same beach we went to a while ago.

i now had on billies jumper since it was getting to the evening and it was cold. we were walking along the path when she stopped all of a sudden.

i turned to face her and she had a nervous look on her face.
"marley i want to ask you something"
