The flickering torches cast long shadows on the stone walls of the hogwarts courses. Mattheo Riddle and Theodore Nott stood at opposite ends of the room, clutching their wands tightly and staring at each other.
„She chose me," Mattheo said confidently, his voice was breaking the silence. His dark eyes were intense and he remained steadfast.
Theodore raised an eyebrow, his face unreadable as he leaned against the cold wall. „Did she?" he asked quietly but his question was a challenge.
Mattheo stepped forward, his jaw clenched tightly. „Oh, don't start this now, Nott. You know she did." His voice betrayed his annoyance and there was a hint of doubt in his eyes.
Theodore moved away from the wall and stepped closer to Mattheo. „Don't be so sure about that," he said quietly with a small grin on his face.
Mattheo's eyes narrowed and he clutched his wand tighter. „What are you saying, Theo?" he asked, his voice rising.
Theodore Nott shrugged his shoulders and remained calm while Mattheo became more and more aggressive. „I'm saying that maybe you shouldn't take her for granted. Maybe she sees something in me that she doesn't see in you."
The tension grew as Mattheo stepped closer, his eyes were burning. „You think you can just take her away from me? You don't know her like I do. You don't understand her."
„And you think you do?" Theodore replied, his calm breaking as his eyes flashed with anger. „Maybe she's tired of your arrogance and your possessiveness. Maybe she wants someone who sees her as an equal, not a prize."
The words hit Mattheo hard and for a short moment his self confidence faltered. He backed away and struggled to remain calm. „You don't know what you're talking about, Mudblood. She's fucking mine," Mattheo said quietly, his voice barely more than a whisper as he moved away.
