Beyond The Classroom

Two Months Later.

Victoria took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to reveal. Sitting across from her in Mia's living room were her two best friends, Mia and Eric. They were both looking at her expectantly, completely unaware of the bombshell she was about to drop.

'Okay guys, there's something I've been meaning to tell you.' Victoria began, her voice trembling slightly. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, trying to keep her composure.

Mia leaned forward, eyes wide with curiosity. 'What's up, Vic? You look like you're about to confess to a crime or something.'

Eric chuckled. 'Yeah, you're not in trouble, are you? Because that could be kind of exciting.'

Victoria swallowed hard. 'It's not a crime, but... it's something big. I've kind of been... sleeping with Mr Reed.'

The room fell into a stunned silence. Mia's eyes widened even more, and Eric's jaw dropped comically.

'Wait, what?' Mia finally blurted out. 'Mr Reed, the PE teacher?'

Eric burst out laughing, almost doubling over. 'You mean the guy who makes us do push ups and run laps? That Mr Reed?'

Victoria nodded, a nervous giggle escaping her. 'Yes, that Mr Reed.'

Mia shook her head in disbelief, but there was a hint of  a smile on her lips. 'I can't believe you didn't tell me sooner, Vic! We're best friends! This is huge.'

'I know, I know. I'm sorry.' Victoria said, feeling the tension begin to ease now that the secret was out. 'I just didn't know how to bring it up.'

Eric was still laughing, wiping a tear from his eye. 'So, how good is he? I mean, the guy's in shape, right? Must have some serious stamina.'

Victoria laughed, covering her face with her hands. 'Eric! That's not the point.'

Mia finally broke into a grin, shaking her head. 'I can't believe it. Our Victoria, having a secret affair with Mr Reed. This is like some scandalous soap opera.'

Victoria rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help laughing along with them. 'I knew you guys would make fun of me.'

'Oh, absolutely.' Eric said, grinning from ear to ear. 'We'll never let you live this down. Every time we see him, we're going to think about this. Poor Mr Reed won't know what hit him.'

'Seriously though, Vic.' Mia said, her tone turning slightly more serious but still playful. 'You are brave for telling us. And don't worry, your secret is safe with us. Right, Eric?'

Eric nodded, raising an imaginary toast. 'To Victoria and her secret fling with Mr Reed. May we never look at PE class the same way again!'

They all burst into laughter, the tension melting away. Victoria felt a surge of relief and gratitude for her friends' support.

'Thanks, guys. I knew I could count on you.' she said, smiling.

Mia hugged her tightly. 'Always, Vic. Always.'

As they continued to joke and laugh about the situation, Victoria knew that no matter how shocking her news had been, she had the best friends in the world that would never go against her.
