Victoria followed Alec through the crowd of partygoers, her mind a whirl of confusion and curiosity. The music and laughter seemed to fade into the background as they made their way through the house, heading toward her room. She felt a mix of excitement and nervousness bubbling up inside her.
'Alec, what are you doing here?' Victoria asked, her voice a little shaky.
Alec glanced back at her, his expression serious. 'I needed to see you, Victoria. We need to talk.'
They reached her bedroom door, and Alec opened it, gesturing for her to go in first. She stepped inside, the familiar surroundings of her room feeling suddenly strange and charged with tension. Alec closed the door behind them, shutting out the sounds of the party.
Victoria turned to face him, crossing her arms defensively. 'What's so important that you had to come to my party?'
Alec took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair. 'I've been thinking about you a lot, Victoria. About us.'
She felt her heart skip a beat at this words. 'What do you mean, about us?'
Alec stepped closer, his gaze intense. 'I can't stop thinking about you. I know it's complicated, but I can't pretend anymore.'
Victoria's breath caught in her throat. She had always felt this connection with Alec, but hearing him say it out loud made everything more real. 'Alec, I.... I don't know what to say.'
He took another step closer, so close now that she could feel the warmth of his body. 'You don't have to say anything. Just tell me if you feel the same way.'
She hesitated for a moment, then nodded slowly. 'I do. I never stopped. I just didn't know if you stopped or not.'
Alec reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair away from her face. 'I didn't. I can't deny it anymore, Victoria.'
Before she could respond, he leaned in and pressed his lips to hers. The kiss was tentative at first, testing the waters, but as Victoria responded, it deepened, becoming more urgent and intense. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer, losing herself in the moment.
They stumbled toward the bed, their lips never breaking contact. Alec's hands roamed over her back, pulling her even closer. Victoria's mind was a haze of sensation and emotion, the world outside her room forgotten.
'Alec.' she whispered against his lips, her voice breathless. 'Are you sure?'
He pulled back slightly, looking into her eyes. 'I've never been more sure about anything.'
With that, they resumed kissing, their movements growing more frenzied. Alec's hands moved to the hem of her dress, slowly lifting it up and over her head. She shivered as the cool air hit her skin, but his touch quickly warmed her again.
They fell onto the bed, Alec on top of her, his kisses trailing down her neck. Victoria's hands fumbled with the buttons of his shirt, desperate to feel his skin against hers. She could feel the tension building between them, a mixture of desire and anticipation.
'Alec.' she murmured, her fingers finally managing to undo the last button. She pushed his shirt off his shoulders, running her hands over his chest. 'This feels so right.'
He groaned softly, his lips finding hers again. 'Happy birthday, Victoria.'
They lost themselves in each other, their kisses growing more passionate and their hands exploring every inch of each other's bodies. The intensity of their connection was overwhelming, a mix of longing and fulfilment that neither of them had ever experienced before.
As they lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, Victoria felt a sense of peace and contentment that she hadn't known was possible. The outside world, with all its complications and judgements, seemed far away. All that mattered was the man holding her and the love they had finally admitted to each other.
