Alec opened the door, his face etched with concern the moment he saw Victoria standing there, tears streaming down her face. He quickly ushered her inside, closing the door behind her.
'Victoria, what's wrong? What happened?' Alec asked, his voice filled with worry as he guided her to the couch.
The moment she sat down, the weight of everything crashed down on her. She burst into tears, burying her face in her hands. Alec sat beside her, wrapping his arms around her, trying to offer comfort.
'It's okay, Victoria. I'm here. Just tell me what's going on.' he said softly, rubbing her back.
Victoria struggled to speak through her sobs. 'It's... it's my mum. She's so angry and hurt. She doesn't understand. She thinks you took advantage of me. She said... she said it's all your fault.'
Alec's brow furrowed, but he continued to hold her. 'I know this is hard. But we'll get through this together. Your mum just needs time to understand.'
Victoria pulled away from him, her tears mixed with a growing anger. 'But she's right, isn't she? This is all your fault! You should have known better! You're the adult. You should have stopped this before it even started!'
Alec looked at her, stunned by the sudden shift. 'Victoria, wait. This isn't just my fault. It takes two people for this to happen. You wanted this too.'
Victoria stood up, pacing the room, her emotions swinging wildly. 'I'm a teenager, Alec! I'm supposed to make mistakes and be impulsive. You're supposed to be the responsible one, the one who knows better!'
Alec stood up too, his voice rising in frustration. 'I know I made a mistake, Victoria! But you can't put all of this on me. We both knew what we were doing. We both wanted this. I care about you deeply, but you can't just blame me for everything.'
Victoria glared at him, her anger boiling over. 'You were supposed to protect me! Instead, you let this happen. You let us get caught, and now my whole life is falling apart!'
Alec ran a hand through his hair, exasperated. 'And you think my life isn't falling apart too? I could lose my job, my career, everything I've worked for. This affects both of us, Victoria. We both made these choices.'
Victoria's voice was a mix of pain and fury. 'I trusted you! I thought you were different, that you genuinely cared. But now it just feels like you used me.'
Alec's face softened, his voice lowering as he took a step closer to her. 'I do care about you, Victoria. More than you know. I never wanted to hurt you. But we can't change what's happened. We need to figure out how to move forward.'
Victoria shook her head, fresh tears spilling down her cheeks. 'I don't even know what moving forward looks like anymore. Everything is such a mess. My mum hates me. She thinks I've ruined everything.'
Alec reached out, gently taking her hands in his. 'We'll figure it out. Together. But you need to talk to your mum. She's hurt and confused, just like you are. Running away won't solve anything.'
Victoria pulled her hands away, her expression hardening once more. 'You might be right, but right now, I can't even think straight. I just need it to end.'
Alec watched her, a mixture of sadness and resignation in his eyes. 'If that's what you need, I understand. But please, promise me you'll talk to your mum. She needs to hear more from you, to properly understand your side.'
Victoria stood there, trembling, her emotions a chaotic storm inside her. Alec stepped closer, his eyes locked on hers. 'Victoria.' he said softly, his voice a plea. 'Please don't leave like this.'
'No. This is your fault. It's your fault! You should've never came to the school! Why did you have to come? You've ruined my life! If it wasn't for you, my mum wouldn't hate me!' Victoria raises her voice, shoving him back.
'Why? You wanna know why, Victoria?' Alec raises his voice.
Victoria stares at him, a hurt expression on his face.
