Her laptop opened, her laptop cam is set up and ready, enough for Daniela to see her. Looking at herself, shaking her head in disappointment. She's not ready for this.

Making it into the Google Meet call. Waiting for Daniela to accept her. Doesn't take her that long, or even for a couple of minutes. Daniela doesn't immediately respond to Mary's request to go to the meeting. Thinking she might be taking a shower or going on a hot date with her boyfriend.

"Hi Mary." She accepts her in the call. Mary immediately changes her expression, not wanting Daniela to know how she actually is right now.

"Hey Daniela."

"How are you?" She asks.

"I'm good thank you." Smiling as she says this.

"That's good. Did you have your dinner?" Not completely finished. It'll take loads of time for the food to get cooler so hopefully by the time she's done with this meeting, she can go back to her meal and enjoy her lonely time.

"Yes I did." Lying to her about it. Daniela seems to believe it as she moves ahead with the appointment.

The session between those two would go on for about 20 minutes. The session won't last long. Daniela just wanted to check if Mary is doing good. Would ask questions about her mental well- being, if there's anything that may have been triggering any negative emotions.

Mary doesn't seem to like it. Most of her answers would be yes and no. Or sometimes just being unsure. The only answers she would only answer. Mary prefers to remain quiet over herself. She likes Daniela but wishes she stops doing those sessions with her.

"Okay we're almost done with our session so that you can do whatever you want." A hidden sigh of relief for her not to see.

"Okay then."

"But before we finish it up, I just wanted to say something and possibly follow it up with another question." Mary doesn't want to look annoyed over it. But is willing to hear it.

"Mary. We've been doing those sessions since well... you know how we are right now but every time we do those sessions, you never try open up about yourself. Including your past." Mary becomes conflicted. She doesn't know what Daniela is trying to get at from her. It's starting to go through her even more, she just wishes this therapist, this girl stops talking to her, saying things she doesn't want to hear.

"You are helping me and it's good." Said Mary.

"Okay. But I just want to ask. Do you still think about Joseph?" Her expression turn into shock and anger. She doesn't want to hear that name again. It's too much to bare.

"I'm sorry what do you mean?" In a confused manner.

"Do you still think about your friend? Ever since he..."

"I don't want to talk about it okay. Please." Noticing the question is beginning to trigger something in Mary, as tears starts to come out of her eyes. Hard to notice in a computer screen.

"Okay sure. I'm sorry for asking but at some point, you have to tell me how you're feeling at the moment. And the thing is... I know Joseph is your friend but you cannot escape what has happened to him." Mary doesn't respond with a long sentence, only responding with a simple 'ok'.

"I think it's best you leave this meeting." In an angry tone. She doesn't want to speak to Daniela again.

"I understand... and I'm sorry." She hangs up the call.

Her eyes, only staring at the computer screen. A computer screen of herself, as the camera is still on. Staring at herself, filled with loneliness and sadness. The only feeling she has. No matter how many friends she has by her side, in her own mind, she's always alone.
