"Hold on Connor, stay with me!" Still in her arms as she continues running aimlessly, trying to get out of the woods and hopefully find someone to help them.

"Connor, Connor, come on kid." His vision begins to get blurred, his life and spirit begins to leave him.

But she doesn't want to believe that, she wants him to stay alive, she doesn't want to lose another person in her life again. Not this time. Not this time.

"Ma... Mary." She looks at him. "Not now Connor I'm trying to find help." Before screaming at nothing, asking if there's anyone that can take him. Just him and she will leave them alone.

"Mary... ple... please... stop..."

"Shut up, you're going to stay alive. You hear me, you're staying alive." She's not in her right mind. She wants him to stay alive, having lost a lot of people, not wanting him to be another one of those people.

The little boy can't hold on anymore. The wound on his chest is too painful for him and he just wants this to be over. He just wants Mary to stop, know that she means well but she needs to let him rest.

"Mary... stop... it's... it's o... it's okay... just... let... me... down... for... me..." Looking around one more time, still trying to find hope but these words, set by her little friend, enough to snap this delusion from her mind. Knowing there isn't anyone that's going to come after them, to help them. It's all over.

Laying him down on the ground, sitting beside him as he smiles, holding her hand. All Mary could do was look at him. Seeing him smile as he begins to leave this world. Enough to leave tears out of her face.

"Connor... I don't know what to do... I really don't want you to leave me here." Before putting his cute little hands on her face.

"Mary... listen... ever since... I... I found you... you... made... me... the... happiest... I ever... been... for... a... long... time... and... I'm... so... glad... I... met... you..." Making her wail. She doesn't want to hear it, it's too much. She doesn't want her little friend to leave her all by herself.

"But now... it's... time... to... let... me... see... my... mom and... dad... again..." Smiling at it before his eyes remain focused onto Mary.

Wiping the tears from her eyes. "I... hope... you... find... your... friend... in... the... Light... Mary..." And then... his grip on Mary's hand was over.

Letting go of her hand and his eye lids, shutting down as he releases his final breath. He's gone. He's no longer with her anymore. All alone once again with Connor laying beside her.

No words said to him, just looking at it. No screaming, no yelling, just silence before letting out her cries as she gives him a huge hug. Holding onto him, wishing no one takes him away, only Mary gets to hold him.

This would go on for a couple of minutes, before moving her arms, ending her hug. Looking at his body, she raises herself up. Before looking at both of her hands. Her hands, filled with blood and dirt, just staring at it.

Till it becomes clean. No longer in her sights. The environment around her, completely different. No longer in the forest, now in a hospital. Next to her are parents waiting to see their child again, a child on the other side of her, asking when she can go inside to see her mom again, but her father, doing everything he can to reassure her that she'll be fine. And that she should try not to worry about it as her mother would love to see her happy, than sad.

Feels cute seeing it but in this chair, she feels alone, no one to talk to, nor speak to. Just keeping everything to herself, her thoughts, her feelings, her emotions. All she could do.
