Ducks and the mother swan in the river of the lake. All moving around the water, squeaking from its throat. Some ducks out of the water, walking around the grass and the area.
Her eyes, more clearer and brighter than before, as she continues to stare at the river in the lake. Looking very focused and concentrated. Happy to see the ducks enjoying their time as the birds fly to the water, wanting to join their friends.
"Mary. Mary!" Attracting her attention. Not looking behind her straight away as she turns her head slowly, looking at the person who is calling her.
To her happiness, a young man, her age, smiling at her with happiness.
"There you are. I've been trying to call you but you seem to focus on watching the ducks having fun in their own baths." The sight of the man, making her smile a lot. Making her happy so much she couldn't get her eyes off him.
"Because it's really cute Joseph."
"I know that but I think the ducks would get creeped over you watching them." Mary looks at him with a smirk.
"Oh yeah and you think I'm gonna take them and cook them for breakfast."
"Hey that's too dark. Don't ever say that." She laughs. Joking about it, even if Joseph doesn't find it funny.
Both sitting down in their chairs as they continue to stare at the beautiful view of the lake. Their eyes couldn't stop staring at the river. Joseph's eyes turn to Mary, wanting to laugh over her intense concentration over her eyes on the river. Attracting Mary's attention as she looks at him in a confused look.
"What are you looking at?" She asks.
"Oh you, just being you as always." She laughs. Silence erupts between the two.
"So Mary, why did you want me here?" He asks. Mary called him to come see her in the lake.
Wanting to spend more time with him after not seeing him for two weeks. "You know, I missed you."
"Missed me." He laughs. "I've only been gone for a few months." She pushes him over it.
"Yeah and you left me alone for a while." Despite the both of them having lots of friends they can latch on to in case none of them are able to see each other.
The conversation would end from there as they continue to look at the ducks... and a child and his mom walking to the river, excited to feed the ducks. Seeing the mother getting her bread out of the bag, the boy immediately grabs it and throws chunks of it to the ducks. Attracting more of the duck's attention.
"Seeing that boy smiling and enjoying his time with these animals makes me happy." Mary looks at him. She knows Joseph loves making people happy and it's probably why Mary loves being friends with him, even though she was the first person to approach him ever since they met.
"Oh really."
"Yeah really."
They both remain quiet a bit longer. Trying to enjoy the peace and quiet they are currently in. Mary looks at Joseph again, wanting to say something to him.
"Are you still thinking about that 'Light' thingy?" Joseph looks at her. Knowing what she's trying to ask and get from him.
"Every day Mary. Every day. I'm having a feeling you only asked me that because of what I said about the boy being happy and all." Mary laughs. She doesn't completely believe in this 'world' Joseph loves to talk about. But this is the second time she has heard Joseph talk about it. They never talked about it all these years. Curiosity seems to get the best of her.
