Running and running, causing him to trip over a branch that causes him to fall, lose his balance. He looks behind, still hoping his mother would follow them but she doesn't, not even a short bit. She won't be coming to them anymore.

He continues his run, unaware his dad isn't with him anymore, having run so far without keeping track of where he is. He would finally stop by laying himself onto a branch. Unable to comprehend what he had to see. "Connor... Connor!"

He awakens from his father. He fell asleep in the same place they chose to have their short break. His dad wanted to wake him up but seeing how tired he was, it was better to leave him like this, knowing it's hard for the both of them to find a comfortable place to take rest, proper rest.

"How long have I been asleep?" Time isn't with him. He could only guess, just by looking at the sky, and the trees.

"I don't know. Five hours I supposed. I decided to get some stuff to keep us warm but regarding food... not so much." He lets out a quick smile for him.

"Not so much food?" He asks.

He doesn't want Connor to worry about it. They have been in the forest for a couple of weeks, unsure how long they can keep doing this. He continues to hope the patrollers in CV-Brown stop doing what they're doing, wishing everything was how they used to be. For the both of them.

But thinking about it, makes him think about his wife too much. "You know what, we can find another comfortable place to settle ourselves in, but right now, let's try get some food..." Raising himself up. Connor raises himself up too but he remains curious over what his dad is talking about.

"Where will we get food?" He asks.

"We'll look for some animals to hunt. But of course, since you're too young, I'll do the hunting myself. Right now, let's go find a place to settle. Once we're done, I'll go out and find some food for the both of us." It doesn't seem to make him happy, but all he could do was agree.

Stood up once again, before looking around. Trying to see if Melody is with him. She's not by his shoulder, but she rushes towards him. Having woke up just now.

Jumping onto his shoulder, they move ahead. Continuing their hikes, going through rivers, trees, branches.

This would go on for a couple of hours but the long hours of hiking doesn't seem to bother him. The sleep gave him the right amount of energy to continue the hikes. His dad wishes they would stop for a while, take another break.

But Connor doesn't seem to want another break, feeling they need to keep going, find the perfect place to settle in. Hopefully one they would remain for a lot longer.

Connor's dad would always go hiking the woods and the mountains, they always loved to climb to the highest peak of the hill, it's always great for the two of them to have an amazing view when they're very high at the mountains.

It's starting to get dark. Knowing his son really well, his little boy never likes the dark, always needing light wherever he goes, even when he sleeps. The only time he sleeps with the lights off is when he falls asleep and his parents would close the lights. Unfortunately, whenever he does wake up, he immediately turns on the lights and sleeps with it.

Finding another place for the two to settle themselves in isn't taking them that long as his dad, looking around an empty but quiet location where no one could find them.

After quick observation of the area, he decides this is where they can let themselves relax in. Not wanting to leave Connor all by himself, he wants him to stay close with him as they find some wood. From where they are, there is still pieces of wood laying around.
