Her hands, still covered in dirt and blood, staring at it coldly before taking another look at Connor. Seeing his lifeless body in front of her, bringing back the worst of memories, particularly one she doesn't want to remember.

Her parents, her best friend, now Connor, all leaving her one at a time, for her to be alone once more as she remains stuck in the woods, all by herself.

But leaving his body there in where she is, that isn't what her little friend wouldn't want. Her mind, remembering a happy place they were yesterday. The time where they saw the fishes flying together. It was amazing.

The little boy's smile, his laughter, even seeing a tiny bit of tears coming out from his eyes when he saw them. Even she wanted to feel those emotions but she felt so embarrassed showing them in front of the little boy. What she knows if she went back to this time, he wouldn't have mind, he would have loved it. This was something he would have seen from Mary.

And with that place, the happiness she has gained from that memory, leaves no words coming out of her mouth. Her eyes, returning her attention into the little boy, carrying him with both of her arms. Looking around but it's all dark and quiet. Hard to see. She doesn't care about it. She lost everything and everyone she has cared and loved. Nothing to lose.

Let Michael find her, that's all she cares about. Take her away, bring her to the quarantine zones, let her live there. Who cares. That's all she would take. No happiness, no love, she hasn't gain any of it since losing them.

That last look, hoping they just let her carry her friend to a place for him to rest, to finally bring him to the other world and then, take her. That's all just take her.

With that mind now set, she walks. Slowly, not giving another look. Just focusing her attention straight ahead. Not minding her surroundings, while also keeping her balance straight. Her eyes, filled with dried tears and her face filled with sweat, only focused forwards. No emotion, just nothing but a stare.

Far away, during one of her walks back to the river, Melody, having come out of a bush, seeing Connor being carried by her, squeaking sadly. Realising what has just happened and seeing her closest friend being carried, enough to make the squirrel do nothing but watch.

No shouting, no words, no yelling, just nothing, it's all quiet, just owls howling, insects, ants and other animals returning back to their own homes. Some just passing by.

Doesn't say anything for the whole walk back to the river. Lasting for hours until she makes it. Back to their happy memory. No fishes around, all empty. Nothing...

Nothing but silence and emptiness. Seeing this, knowing she's finally there, drops him on the ground gently. Looking around, seeing piles of huge wood, all with her hands.

All heavy but the weight doesn't matter. Just grabbing them all. Enough to carry her little friend. Lasting for another couple of minutes, nearing ninety minutes. Before putting them all together, turning it into a raft.

All set up, she carried him one more time. His eyes closed peacefully, putting his hand together on his chest. Touching them.

No tears coming out of her eyes, just staring at him. But looking at him again is too much for her. She doesn't want to see it. But she has too. Doing so, tears finally come out. Enough holding it, letting them all out as she wants to fight it but wouldn't want to stay in its place.

She let it go. Placing her face onto his arms, wailing. Before she removes her face from him. Taking one last look at him. Before getting a lighter, putting it on her wooden stick. Bringing fire in the air. And then her eyes, focused on him once again.
