"What were his last words? What conversation did you both have?"

Mara replied, "he asked me a question, he said if he went for a quick trip would I be bothered? And I surely said yes, I would. Suddenly the phone hung up and I left whatever I had going on. I drove towards the laboratory that night but he disappeared."

Astrid asked, "and what did you find? The items and the answers? Who assisted? He never had any friends, only colleagues?"

She replied, "That person's locked up right now, I don't trust her."

Astrid's eyebrows furrowed, "you locked up the helper, the only person that helped because she liked you, why not like her back and see how this goes. I don't like the idea of you looking her up when this could trigger the scientists even more." Her words were true to the ears of Mara.

"Look, if I bring her out, everyone will have their heads handed to them without any warning. Is that what you want? Fine, I'll call for her release."

Aurora stops her in her tracks. "No, I'll bail her out of the cell, that'll be her form of release. You already broke the code and now I think she'll need a new friend and a person she feels she can trust. Where is she?"

Mara nods, "right, room D-20, she should be cold and angry there. Good luck, I'll wait for you here with the others. Give them this paper." Mara gives her a piece of paper from the drawer next to them, Astrid takes it from her in her hand.

She walks out of the house leaving the others to the quest of the hidden, she drives to the cell. "Hello, I'm looking for a woman, she got in this morning and she's Aurora. D-20? Help me out."

She hands the woman the paper. The lady stares at the piece of document for a while and she says, "she's not here, she never got into this building in the first place." Half of the blood in Aurora's body evaporates although she maintains a normal face.

She smiles at the lady, "excuse me? Could you take another look, there must be a brief interruption of data provided."

The lady stared at her, "I've been serving here for more than five years and you think I'll have the wrong information handed to you? Young lady she's not here, there are a lot of rooms with the number code D-20. Which is it?" Aurora pulls out her phone and she dials Mara's number.

"You need to understand something Mara, I want to help but if you keep making me chase the bones like a dog, you'll have yourself to blame in the end."

Mara replied, "Kid you should watch your tongue, get back to the house. She's somewhere you'll never find her, she's too much of a threat for me to let you get an inch near her. She helped someone get rid of your father, she'll want you too. Get back in the house." She hangs up.

Astrid walks out of the building angrily, she drives and she bangs the door. Xander pulls her in, "did anyone follow you in here? I hope not, the scientists knew Astrid, they called the firm she got transferred to, they want her back. This is a government thing, it is way bigger than our hands now and if I must add Mara just lost her captain title, she's like a normal civilian now. We need to stay low key and we need to leave this house now, help now."

Astrid stared at him as he spoke, she didn't interrupt. Luna and Xander run to the car with their bags and the documents needed. Mara shuts the door, "drive after me, don't lose track. I have a place for us." she starts driving, Astrid follows.

They reach the Astral Outpost, "Your father taught me a lot of things by mistake, one is this. He taught me how to get to his other house, the one your mother never knew of, it's a glass house. He could make us teleport there or he could drive us there, right now we need to teleport there. Come with me." She runs up the stairs of the building, they follow her into this abandoned site. They reach the top and they see a room numbered D-20. They watch her open the door, she locks it the moment they all walk in.

Luna asks, "why did you allow us to do that? You parked really far from this place and you let us walk all the way here?"

Mara snubs and she turns the machine on, "Xander walk through with your stuff first, Luna you are next and after you Astrid walk in. I'll meet you guys up. Also lock the door the moment you get in, it's cold there." Xander goes through, the machine goes off, the plug falls to the ground, lucky enough for them, the machine only allows one person to travel per time. She turns it on and it's working again, she lets Luna walk through. The machine goes off again, this time it's getting weaker, Astrid walks up to it and she stands waiting for it to come on. She stared at Mara.

Mara turned it on the third time, Astrid walked through it with her things. Someone hits the door hard, he yells, "Mara! Mara!! Let us in! We know you are here! Don't let us come in by ourselves!"

They continue trying to break the door. The wood breaks little by little, just like the walls. She tries to turn the machine on. It's not coming on, "what?! Not now! Please, not now. I need you to work right now," They break the door into half, they are trying to come in. She scans the room with her eyes for a weapon, she sees an iron rod. She holds it, she takes the other hand to the machine. Finally it comes on but one just walks in, she hits his head with the rod. The other shoots at her but he misses.

She makes it through the portal, she runs through and throws the rod to the machine. It crashes it to pieces leaving it to burn away.

She knocks on the door of the igloo, Xander shuts it after she walks in. "this is the first part of the second earth everyone, you are welcome."

Luna asked, "what's the first and second earth about? The X and the Y?"

Xander introduces the topic, "when our father began this research, he made a statement. He said if one thing existed then another could have life from it. He never believed in the singular form of living. He proposed that earth had a twin and this twin was the opposite gender. If earth was a woman, then the twin would be a man. He said that this earth had the other as a life saver, he called it the back up battery of the universe. He said Earth X had mostly good people but the other had the bad. He proposed earth genders."
