Chapter 44: Vexis And Rhea

It's the next day after the sexcapade. Vexis just walked into the firm with some documents, since he's been low key. He's been avoiding all forms of direct or indirect communication from both humans and anything in general. Rhea walked past his office, he looked at her and turned his face away. 

           She's always noticed this sinister man, she wanted to approach him for a decent conversation but he was always caught up with someone or something. This time she wanted to take the chance to know what was on his lonely head. 

        "Hey, good morning Mr Vexis. I grabbed a cup of coffee for myself and I thought I'd get you some. Do you like caramel?" 

       He stared at her confused, he never asked for a cup of coffee. She continued talking, "I'm Rhea by the way. I'm one of the lab scientists."

         He responded, "thank you but I'm good. I never asked for coffee. You could give it to someone else."

         His eyes went back to his computer, she lowered herself to him by bending down to his table. He could see her voluminous boobs, he looked into her eyes. He knew she wasn't walking away from him. 

          So he removed his eyes from her chest and turned it to her face, he waited for her next sentence but none came out of her mouth. He said, "Rhea right? Okay. What do you want? I don't think you are here for such a simple cup of caramel infused coffee and for my age, I believe you know I should be taking the regular coffee or just the milk infused coffee. So what gives?"

             She replied, "Mr Vexis, I wanted us to talk. I want to be friends. You are so lonely and I just wanted to keep you company, I've never seen you with another woman or even a man besides Voud himself. I want to know you and start a friendly bond. Accept the coffee."

           He moved back, away from the desk. He leaned on his chair, he asked, "so that's it? Nothing more. Not even a salary raise?"

          "This is not the only job I have, so what do you think? But listen, whether you think or not, here's the coffee." She dropped the cup of caramel coffee and she attempted to walk away. He held her wrist tight. 

          She turned back to look at him, it was so intense. "Rhea sit down." She moved back to the chair by his desk side and she sat. He asked, "what do you think? I mean of me? What attracted you to me? What did you hear of me?"

           She seemed interested in his personal life, "Vexis, I just noticed you are depessed and besides being a lab scientist, I'm a counselor as well."

           "You don't understand my question, why did you come closer?"

           She was mute, she thought of it. What really drew her to him, he was single and she was single as well. But it wasn't that, it was more like a strange love at first sight. 

        He moved closer to her, with his senses he could tell her heartbeat moved faster and her anxiety increased. He placed his right hand on her thighs, it got worse. Her pulse increased. He leaned into her face, he knew what that feeling was. The hot feeling coursing through her body. He kissed her lips softly. 

          She didn't pull away or even fight back. She leaned her face into his warm hand, he pulled away from her. It was raining, the windows were open already and the cold air crept into the office. 

           The goosebumps appeared on her skin, Vexis noticed she was cold and pulled away to shut the windows. She sat there waiting for him, he asked, "Can we go somewhere? The lab's network is down."

           "Yeah, we can. Where do you wanna go?" 

       "My house? The cafe? Lunch?" He said. 

      She agreed, "Your house."

   He smiled, he turned his computer off and they walked out of the building together. He pulled his jacket over her head since he didn't have an umbrella with him. She sat by the passenger's seat while he drove. 

        They reached the house, they walked into his house. He prepared a warm bath tub for her body and his, no one could judge them. Who could? 

          She stepped into it waiting for him to get there, he dropped himself slowly into the bathtub while their cups of coffee got cold eventually. They kissed. 

        He sat and asked her to come closer to his body, she leaned on his body, skin to skin and heart to romance. 

          She asked, "Vexis? Do you have any children? Or a wife?" She wanted the spouse position so bad, she already had her options laid out in her head. 

            He answered, "Well Yes, I have four kids actually and I had a wife. Her name was Aurelia Ravenna Void. We are divorced, she wanted a normal man and I guess I wasn't within that category."

           "Oh wow, sorry about that. But wait four kids? Are you serious right now? Wow. Who's the first?"

           "You talk to him almost everyday, he's one of your favorite persons. It's Zephyr."

        She was shocked, "Zephyr's your son?" She turned to him. 

       "Yes, he is." He said. He asked, "Rhea? Did you have sex with Zephyr? Or even a kiss?"

         "No I didn't, but the young man is fine. He's kinda cute, he was raised right with what I've noticed about him."

       "Thank you." He felt a bit proud. The silence hit them. The rain stopped. 

    She asked again, "Do you need one?"

       "A woman? For now… No I'm good." 

    She understood, his reply was stern. He was hurt and still healing. 

         Vexis felt like they had stayed in the water enough. He got up and left, she did the same a few minutes after. 

     They got dressed and they ate. She found out that Vexis was a really good cook. He had a lot she wanted to uncover, but she realised he wasn't open to let her see it. She felt like a fool for even coming to his house. 

        They drove back to the laboratory without having a single sex episode. Strangely that disappointed her, he was too expensive to share his sexual energy with her.
