Galen and Aster stood right in front of Aurora's body. Galen asked, "could you think of other ways to test her system. I wanted to run some extra tests on her body and her soul if I could. There's something about Aurora I noticed, there's a special force within her. I need to get to it, run a test on her blood. I need to speak with Mara for a moment." Galen attempts to walk out but he's stopped by Aster.
"Before you leave, you should see this." He handed over a piece of paper to Galen, he continued talking, "that's the result from the first try, that's the sample from her blood. It has a different composition from the usual human blood. I suspect the effect came from her travel to the other realm without the scientific use of a lab suit or any form of outer covering. She's with powers now but I can't identify which, I'll continue to run the tests and if it's possible. Could you contact Xander? I'll need his assistance here from the ascended side."
"Xander? As far as I'm concerned you can't see that young man right now. He's stuck in another timeline with another set of beings I still need to test too. Opening a new portal may lead to severe damages on our end and on his end, just stay put on this test and continue till it's noon."
"Alright then, wish me luck."
"Aster, you are luck itself. Get to work. I'll see you later." Galen walked out of the test unit within the laboratory, he walked till drove out of the firm to meet Mara. Aster turned to look at her Aurora, surprisingly. Her eyes were open.
He moved closer to her face, she's breathing fine but her eyes changed color. Before she left the laboratory through the portal she had dark brown eyes and brown hair. Now he just noticed her hair turned black and her eyes are honey brown. A lighter shade. She looked even more beautiful than before, she took the oxygen off her face.
He helped her sit up, their hands are contact. He felt a shock come from her hands, her fingers. He looked down at her fingers, he saw the electricity emerge from her fingers into his. He pulled his hand away. He looked into her eyes, her lens had a white dot on it, her corneal rather. It looked like she was mildly blind, but she wasn't. She uttered a word. "Yerkis".
He stared at her surprised, she repeated the word again. "Yerkis" She slumped back into sleep. He quickly fixed the oxygen mask on her face, he took the stethoscope and he checked her pulse, her heartbeat.
It's beating fine but three times per a moment. That's strange, he felt like she had two hearts or a whole heart and a half attached to that whole. He wanted to tear her chest open to examine her inside but that would lead to her death. Galen would end him for it.
He picked up his phone, he dialed a number. The person picked up the call, he asked, "hey, it's Aster. Professor Aster, what would you strategically call an unconscious yet conscious beating heart made of three different compartments?"
Doctor Victor answered, "An alien, ha! What else? What are you up to Aster? Who's there?"
"Aurora, you need to see and hear this quickly."
Victor replied, "Alright I'll walk upstairs in a few minutes."
Aster dropped the call, he exhaled.
He walked away from the table.
Xander watched them through the mirror, they had no idea he sent her back to Earth X. If he hadn't, then she would have died. She saw something she wasn't destined to see, she was exposed to a new radioactivity she wasn't supposed to feel.
"Xander? Do you watch them all the time? An ascended master cannot look towards his past when a new future opens up to him."
Xander turned to stare at Solstice through the mirror, "When I have nothing but a solo trip on Earth SOID, what do you expect? The aurum sphere's been really quiet nowadays. No beings or even forces. It's a bit quiet and mostly dark. It's like hell itself."
"Good, as it should be. Be quick, you should be out before the end of the month. I'm sure you must have sustained some injuries or fatal wounds, don't worry, you are a lord now. You'll heal."
"Finally, some good news."
Solstice laughed, "you are beginning to sound like Apex a little too much these days. Stop it."
Xander smiled, Solstice disappeared from his sight.
Xander walked, he gained the power to control the fire and brimstones. "Could this day get any worse? I mean what could go wrong anyway?" He just reached a place, a location. It looked like a sea of fire, it looked like a volcano poured out it's insides on the ground and left it there.
Yes of course it could get a whole lot worse."Aurum sphere?! Now would be a good time to say something to me! Now! Would! Be! A! Good! Time! To! Not! Shut! Up!"
It replied, "this would be a good time to listen to your inner man, your inner instincts and your inner voice. Calm waters don't have the capacity to host the reflection of others. You should remain calm."
"Calm? You can't be serious! I can not be calm at a place like this! I'm already frustrated!"
"No, you are not. You feel you are but it's just your mind. Stop feeling this way, don't neglect yourself. Eat."
Xander's brain nearly exploded. His nerves cut. He yelled, "Eat! What! What do you want me to eat, Lava?!"
"Take the stick and put it into the lava. You'll see what you seek."
Xander turned to his right, he noticed a metal stick. He turned his eyes to the lava, he thought.
He picked it up and dipped it in, the hook attached brought out a bunch of grapes. This interpreted a lot of things, one this is truly an illusion and not from his mind. This came from the earth realm. If he could get grapes, he could change some aspects to work in his favor.
He dropped the metal stick with grapes, he stretched his hands forward. He sat in front of the lava sea, he closed his eyes. He imagined the sea turned into water, the atmosphere too.
He felt a cool breeze touch his body, he felt like he sat in front of an ocean. He opened his eyes, he didn't believe it at first.
He changed the atmosphere, it turned to the sea and he liked it. He moved closer to it to verify it was water. He touched it, he drank it and he washed his face in it.
He took some grapes, he munched on a few. He glanced at the trees, the sand, the empty land. He heard a voice.
"Well done Xander, well done."
He knew it was the voice of Apex. He turned around to look at him, Apex smiled and said, "Greetings from Solstice, you are ready for the realms."
This meant one thing, he's ascended into the office of the realm lords, he owns Earth SOID. Apex gave him his royal robe and gold medal. "you understood the assignment and you gave what was expected of you. Welcome." he disappeared.
Xander took his grapes and envisioned a boat with his eyes closed. He stepped into it and made it move with his mind.
