The Astral Chimera got tired of it's host, so it decided it was time to change to a different species. Professor Felix Cosmos walks towards the office and he sees Doctor Celestia getting out of her car for the new day's work. The Astral Chimera studies the woman from a distance, Professor Felix takes off the eyeglasses he wore and approaches her calmly.
"Good morning Celestia, how are you?" Celestial heard a voice behind her and she turned to him.
She replied, "Hey, Felix. Good morning I'm alright, how are you?"
"Oh I'm good, I just saw you driving in and I decided to help you out with a hand, may I?"
"Yes, that's very thoughtful of you, thank you. Just these files please, they're quite heavy for me."
He smiled at her and took them saying, "After you."
She walked into the office with Felix behind her, she got to her table and said, "Thank you, Felix."
"You are welcome Celestia, anytime. Would you like a cup of coffee? I wanted to have mine and I thought of you?" She stared silently and wondered what made him care so much.
"Yes, A cup of coffee would be fine. A caramel cup of coffee or a chocolate cup of coffee would make me feel better about the morning."
"Alright, I'll be right back." as he walked away the smile faded, she had no idea what was coming for her through a simple coffee cup. The Astral Chimera saw the perfect opportunity to turn invisible and it did. It walked out of his body, and he fell to the floor, Celestia saw him collapse, and she got up to lend a hand and the Astral Chimera ran straight for Celestia as she drank and walked towards Felix. She took a sip from the coffee cup.
She choked and coughed, she held her breath and fell to the ground. Her knees hit the floor harshly, her eyes turning white. She exhaled finally after a few seconds. Her eyes went back to the usual. She stood up, she turned around. She took the cup of coffee and she helped Felix up.
"Thank you." She smiled at him silently and walked away, back to her desk. She logged into her computer, and Felix walked away from her with a mild migraine in his head. He sat and took his cup of coffee, he gulped a majority down his throat.
Zephyr just watched them from the house, he had to rewind the video. He saw the creature jump out of Professor Felix and ran invisibly into Celestia. His eyebrow furrowed. He sent a text message to Xander.
Xander sends a voice message, "Don't take your eyes off that monitor for even a simple second. Follow Celestia till it's closing and even to her house. We need some advice and I got some from my dad, we have to open up the portal again. There's a loophole, ask your dad for it."
Zephyr remembered the heated argument he had with his dad, the raising of voices, and the inappropriate use of language. He didn't want to, so he stared at his phone for a while. Lyra walked into the building without an invite.
"Zephyr, Dad asked me to come get you."
Zephyr asked, "So he can't call me, he can't even reach out to me. How did you get in here without an invitation Lyra Void?"
"I knew a shortcut, I took his card of course. Zephyr, he wanted you back at the house, it's his fault this happened and he doesn't want you in it."
Lyra pulls him off from the chair, he logs out, and drives away to his house. Celestial saw them leave the building, she had full access to the files of Void. She walked up to his office, she mistakenly ran into Vexis making up plans for the loophole Void created. She walked away like she wasn't spying on him.
He thought of it as strange, Doctor Celestia walking up to check on Void. He's curious, and he follows her calmly. He secretly walked behind her from a distance, he noticed she's changed. He saw her fingernails turn black, he knew she wasn't the gothic type.
He saw the creature, he stepped back and hid. It's been ages since his eyes saw the Astral Chimera. He watched it walk into Professor Persephone Nova's body.
He stood and stayed low-key, his eyes didn't believe it. He knew where it came from. He walked out and changed his direction. He quickly ran across and followed Persephone to her car. She drove away and so did he in his.
Persephone Nova happened to be the sister of Elysium Nova. This creature had a better state of intelligence than him. He thought, "What better way to get through to Xander than his aunt or mother? Brilliant."
She reached the house but Elysium wasn't there, so she called her sister. He noticed her driving out of town, of course, he followed. She got to the igloo and walked out of her car, Elysium walked to her and the Astral Chimera entered her body.
Persephone fell to the snowy ground, and Elysium helped her up. They walk into the house, and Vexis just found their secret spot.
Bummer!
The Astral Chimera sees Xander through Elysium's eyes. She smiled at him. It found its long-term target. She sits with them at the table, She looks around waiting for the perfect time to get hold of the laptops and the teleportation machines.
Persephone stays till it's night time, they had a good family bonding time with each other. Finally, she drove back to the firm, it was 8:56pm. Elysium walks into the house like a normal person, she sees the machines with Xander. She asked, "Can I work with those? How do you even turn it on? I've been admiring it fit a while now."
Xander smiles, "Just put this liquid here, take your fingers there, and push it down. When you are done, pull the lever up. Come on, try it."
His finger touched hers, he noticed she was cold. "Are you okay? Your hands are cold."
"Yeah I'm good, let me try it." She took the same procedures he stated, and the portal opened. Xander noticed her eyes turned white, and the Astral Chimera revealed itself. He moved back, he stared at her from the wall.
It stood up from the body of the host, walked into the portal, and got sucked away back to its place. His mother fainted, and he quickly noticed the departure of the Astral Chimera. He ran to the lever and he pulled it down.
He cleaned his sweaty hands on his shirt, Luna didn't believe what just happened. It was at their house.
Xander dials Zephyr on the phone, "Hey dude! The creature… it was here, it possessed my mother and it left through the portal. It came through Persephone. Check the loophole."
"I already shut the loophole down. It's gone. Don't open that portal of yours tonight. We need to stay guarded. Good night Xander."
