"The Earth had gender differences but the other had no gender at all. No organs, no female names, no male names. Nobody description, just plain usual. He also proposed the concept of portal travel from one location to another. He thought of the solar system as a fake means of study, rather he presumed that the earth had just itself and the sun with the moon and the stars, also its twin. He spoke of the theories before he disappeared, these theories contradicted the whole history of the scientific world before his own existence. They wanted him out, he knew too much and he said way too much. Aurora helped them get rid of him, this caused the uproar."
Astrid asked, "Can I get his laptop for a minute? I think I remember us coming here before the two of you were born. He brought me here to this igloo, he said if I ever needed a place to relax I could sleep here. He said underneath this structure I could find a simple pattern underneath this house. It's the same pattern at the outer part of the city, these are landmarks he set. That's two landmarks, this is leading us somewhere but where are the third and fourth? His favorite number was the number seven. This means there's more we need to find."
Xander replied, "also he mentioned something about passing through the seven galaxy gateways to get to the other earth. He called the meeting of the seven galaxies, Titan's Reach. He said these other galaxies had the one objective of meeting on the other earth. He even spoke of the people there. He said they looked like space people, they had silver garments, they wore masks on their lower faces to hide their mouths from getting burnt by the air they breathe."
Mara and Luna scan the files as he speaks of the symbolic references of his father's theory. Mara stared at the table blankly, I think we'll need Aurora. "I remember something happening the night I slept there, actually the next morning. We saw the writing on the picture frame. He's alive but he's closer to Aurora. I need to get her, wait. Xander you need to get her, Astrid too. I'll stay with Luna. Astrid I'm sure you know your way around here. I'll see you guys later."
Astrid nods and walks out of the house, Xander calls Aurora. "Hey, can we meet?"
"Whatever you think you need is with you, you are his first and only son. You are Xander Nova. The firm knew I worked with your dad and so for that they'll try everything in their power to make sure they get rid of me too. Oh and tell Mara, she didn't destroy the machine properly. As we speak, it's under serious testing, I mean the director asked us to stop the other projects we started just for the sake of the silly mistake she just made. I'm running for my life and so are you all, don't come back here. I already left the house, I'm coming to the igloo." She hangs up.
Astrid heard her words, she suggests, "go in and tell them to get ready, we have a lot to do. I'll wait for her here and don't call our mother at all."
Mara steps out to meet Aurora, she stands still. Aurora stares at her, she walks to her. "You have a lot of explaining to do right now but first we need to scan for the third and fourth gate of the pattern." She walks into the house with the machines and papers. Aurora starts connecting the wires after moving the table. She positions the machines at the north, south, east and west. She connects the wires through it, and suddenly a blue light emerges.
She takes a fluid from her pocket, it's red. It's blood, she turns it into each and everyone of the machine. It creates a portal, a piece of paper and pen flies through the portal.
It's the one Luna threw in, it came back with writings on both sides. "Dad wrote something on it, it's having equations and calculations on one side. The other side has a little bit of words and drawings. It's the pattern, he drew some things on it. I think it's the map that leads to the third, fourth and the others. He wants us to find him, he can't get back. Aurora, try this again but this time wait for us to write back. Everyone write down something you need, or anything you would like to communicate."
Xander and the others start writing, they ask questions and they start to draw. Astrid turns it on and they drop hers, she waits for a couple of two minutes. She turns it on and Xander drops his with that of Luna's. Mara drops hers last. Aurora continues the turning of blood, they wait for about five minutes. Aurora turns it on again, all four papers come back with writings on them. They feel ecstatic and quite surprised.
Luna yelled, "he wrote back! I guess he needs to open the portal everytime! He said he needs water, lots of it. He's thirsty and getting vastly dehydrated."
She takes Astrid's paper and she reads, "He needs more pen and paper for his writing, he said he discovered something new. He said he misses us and he wants us to continue opening the portal, he said it needs more blood. The higher the blood, the higher the opening and travel."
Xander reads this, "he said he wants me to handle the blood aspect, he wants my blood for the trip. He said there's a lot he needs to tell me but he needs more paper, he needs more food and water, he needs more clothes. It's cold there, also he needs to reproduce another set of machines just like this one we have in seven places. That'll take a lot of money and a lot of time to build, that's like a few days, I guess?"
Aurora stares at him saying, "a few days? It took your father more than six months to make one of this and you said a few days? We'll need his map and his plans for them. I know where to get the materials and I know a little about how he made them but I can't tell if they'll work. I wasn't attentive during the full process."
Xander agrees with her, "I'll get the blood now if you like. It needs a true blood source of the family, he mentioned us having a connection to a creature, I'll ask him about all the creatures and the gateways. I think that's from me, Luna you'll ask him about the processes for the machines and Astrid will go with you to get the supplies."
Astrid eyebrows furrow, she asks, "why me? Aren't you old enough to get them? Aren't you the man here? You should go along while I write."
Xander disagrees with her opinion, "I'm the only son and he said only the blood of the men can give access to a given realm or portal."
